"My husband and I had been looking at renting this cabin for the last couple of years it was always booked. We now know why!! Amazing location, the hiking trails were a fun way to spend the day. We found our most romantic spot to be on the deck sipping champagne listening to the water cascading over the rock bed of the creek. Rita and Scott made the stay feel very welcoming and if we needed something they were only a text away! If you get a chance, go swimming in the icy (brrrr) creek and then trek back up the hill and sit in the hot tub. We used the old converted stove for baking and it's super quick with the tea kettle. We thoroughly enjoyed and are already looking at coming back in a few months."

"My husband and I spent our 16th wedding anniversary at the South Fork Lodge. Could not have asked for a more beautiful setting. The view from the deck is both peaceful and gorgeous. Close by is Sunset Falls which is a must at sunset. The Lake Serene hike, pretty intense near the top, but soo worth it when you are sitting on Lunch Rock overlooking the lake. A perfect setting for an anniversary getaway!"

"We had an amazing vacation in the Sky Lodge. I set up the rental and arrived with my extended family, and we are all eager to go back, especially in winter. I felt at home when I walked in, and it took me a little while to figure out why I would feel so comfortable in a home that wasn't my own. And the answer is all the many, many small pleasures in this house.
Just a few of the things I liked.
*A VERY clean house.
*natural wood floors under your feet
*pretty granite everywhere (yes, this made me happy. I think it was pretty blue eyes granite.)
*heated tiles in the clean bathrooms
*Deep stainless steel sinks
*All the pots, pans, and cooking things we might need, including a french press AND a regular coffee pot (we used both as we love coffee in this family.) The cast iron cookware was really nice. I'd never used it before, but the perfect over easy eggs I was able to make in it convinced me I'd like a skillet for my house.
*Enormous clean fridge and freezer to hold everything we'd brought.
*A nice fireplace that heats the whole house at night when there's a chill
*A big table for playing games and eating with very comfortable seats.
*The awesome round sofa. I e-mailed the company because my husband and I must have one.
*Soft, high quality sheets on the beds - a wonderful view of the trees outside every morning.
*The view!!! I really appreciated both the curtains for night and the ability to open the windows at the bottom.
We didn't go hiking too much or venture too far away from the cabin, but what we did see was great. We made use of the house's walkie talkie set and flashlights to go on a hunt for an evil villain from a Disney movie. My five year old was convinced she was in the woods. It was pretty magical for her when the hunting party "found" her over the walkies. :) My other family members enjoyed the hot tub, and I enjoyed the quiet inside the cabin. I also got up early a few mornings to write on the front deck.
I obviously recommend this rental. :)"

"The view from this house is spectacular! From the moment we walked in the door, we couldn't stop admiring the picture-perfect view from the main floor and deck. We had 10 adults and 7 children/babies staying in this house and, while we did use every bedroom, it never felt overcrowded. There's so much living space to spread out in - the main living room/kitchen, the wraparound deck, the den, the reading nook upstairs, and the grassy yard with campfire pit.
The children loved the "kids corner" downstairs and all the lawn games while the adults appreciated the comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. We all enjoyed playing in the river, both directly from the house and from the community parks. There's even a small playground at the park just a 1/4 mile (or so) west of the house. We also hiked nearby Wallace Falls and drove out to Skykomish to ride the train.
The only small problem we had was that the house was only stocked with 3 partial rolls of toilet paper and 2 dishwasher detergent tablets, so we had to run out to a store to replenish the supply after our first day. Everything else was well supplied - plenty of towels, spices, basic pantry items, pots/pans, kitchen utensils. We especially appreciated the careful labeling of each kitchen cabinet/drawer.
The house was very well maintained, clean, and the owner, Nicole, was lovely to work with. Thanks for a great weekend!"
