  • This place Should Be Called Paradise!

"My twin teenage boys, my husband and I were in dire need of a truly relaxing vacation. We were nervous driving up with the twins all ready bickering and arguing in the backseat, but when we arrived all fears and arguing melted away. Everyone had their own space to stretch out, the cabins were perfect! The main cabin was beautifully furnished, I especially appreciate the fact that the appliances were all high-end. We soaked in the hot tub, had simores around the camp fire, lounged in huge hammocks in the sun. I had a great sweat session in the sauna with a quick cooling shower right next door in the outdoor shower. We strolled down to the river to dig our toes in the sand and watched the boys fish, I laid on the comfy couch in the hidden nook upstairs and listened to the wind in the trees. We chowed down on BBQ chicken and strolled through the beautifully manicured forested areas. When we left, we said our goodbyes knowing we'd be back, and felt more refreshed for our crazy-busy city life. Thank you Mysty Mountain for such an amazing experience! Wild Lily is paradise!"

  • Beautiful Setting

"South Fork was everything we expected and more. The setting is stunning as the river makes a turn directly in front of the property. The cabin is well cared for and provides an upscale lodging in a beautiful setting. Good hiking and siteseeing opportunities are nearby. Will definitely recommend to others and look forward to returning."

  • Wonderful getaway, with everything you would want!

"Our family of four stayed here just before Labor Day wknd. We wanted a getaway that was on a river and needed some general family time together, as the summer had slipped away with out time for a camping trip. The cabin is well appointed and nicely decorated... Having it's own beach is the cherry on top. Though the river is cold, it is swimmable. We used floating tubes (provided) to do a short river float. Started at an easy walk, up through the neighborhood. (The cabin is located in a small community of homes. Some strictly ski vacation homes, others where folks live year around.) Our kids, ages 12 & 10, loved being in the river, as they are strictly use to lake swimming. The clarity of the river was stunning to them. Seeing fish, when they dived under, with their swim goggles on... The house has everything you need as far as pots and pans, etc. Lot's of board games, and more that can be borrowed from the owners, (who live next store, though there is plenty of landscaping and space that separates the properties. And they did leave for a night, while we were there, as they have an apt. in the city.) The location is close to small stores, if you forgot something. We drove into Index for an afternoon and stopped at an incredible falls and swimming hole right off the highway, that we had never noticed before. (Owners can tell you the name and location.) The hot tub just fit the four of us, and it got LOT'S of use. Super comfy beds, everyone had their own rooms, and one of the bedrooms has it's own TV/DVD player, so the kids could watch a movie away from the living room. The whole cabin is situated toward the river, with the back deck being an excellent place for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Most nights we ate dinner at the table on the deck. There are two fire pits, (we did not use,) but I suspect in winter, would be a fun thing to do. Beautifully landscaped with yards both front and back. Front has a great view of snowcapped peaks. This place is great! Fantastic owners, very easy and friendly. They've had the cabin for years and love it so much up there, they bought the place next door and moved in, mostly full time. You can really tell the joy they get out of their place and their want, of sharing that joy."
