  • Absolutely amazing week on the river!

"This quaint, comfortable, and charming cabin on the Skykomish River was a romantic retreat for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary! It's only an hour from Seattle, but felt like we were worlds away. We loved every minute of our week long vacation. The cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the owners are so thoughtful and kind in providing extras (for example one of the evenings we were there the temperature dropped a little bit and the owners thought we might get chilly so brought over some firewood for us to use in the fireplace). Jill and Bob made our stay even more memorable. This is the perfect location to do as much, or as little as you would like. The hot tub is perfect to relax and just watch the stars. The beds are beyond comfortable! And the cabin was so clean it seemed brand new. The pictures definitely do not do this adorable place justice. Jill and Bob are quite the gardeners as well, the grounds are amazing! We are already planning our next visit :) If you are looking for great place to get away from it all, look no further... you will love Bowman's Riverside Retreat! ~Jen & Amar D."

  • Family gathering

"At last, all my kids together in the same place, at the same time and what a cozy cabin to make this happen. This place is amazing and welcoming. In the short time we were there, we cooked, ate, laughed, fished, hiked, hot tubbed, roasted marshmallows over the fire, read, talked, prayed, listened, shared, hugged, all in the beauty and peace of the mountain view. The river provided it's peaceful sounds as chipmunks and bluejays provided nature's play. We loved our stay in this beautiful setting and are already making plans to return and share this great place with friends and other family members. Thank you George for an amazing time."

  • Excellent in Every Way

"This home is exceptional in every way. The owners have taken the time and expense to furnish and equip it with everything needed for a comfortable family vacation. Everything is top notch including the decorating, furnishings and bedding. There is a seperate TV and game room with toys for kids and even a Wii electronic game. The location is terrific with beautiful views of the river and mountains. It's a short drive to Wallace Falls State Park with hiking trails and riding stables are along the way. There is a large fire pit near the river that is a great gathering place at night. You can wade and fish right behind the house and there is a great private swimming beach just a few blocks away. The owner, Nicole, is easy to reach if you need anything and she is extreamly helpful. We plan to stay here again in the future and would give this our highest recommendation."

Stevens Pass Travel Tips

Stevens Pass Vacation Rentals Are Perfect Year-Round

Stevens Pass, in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State, is a glorious winter skiing destination. It is located on US Highway 2 (the Stevens Pass Greenway) and also accessible on Interstate 90. It sits on the border of both King County and Chelan County. Stevens Pass is a scenic byway through the stunning scenery surrounding Stevens Pass lodging. The excellent winter snow makes this an ideal winter sports vacation, and during the spring and summer, those seeking fresh air and plenty of activities come here. The area is convenient located just 70 miles from Seattle International Airport.

Stevens Pass Cabins near Cowboy Ridge and Big Chief Mountain

Stevens Pass vacation rentals are popular during winter for the variety of sports available, such as skiing and snowboarding on Cowboy Ridge and Big Chief Mountain. The ski resort offers facilities for everyone from beginners to advanced level skiers. There are also impressive areas for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Further areas for winter sports include Echo Valley, Mission Ridge and Snoqualmie Pass. At Cascade Powder Cats, visitors can experience the wonders of this wilderness in winter from the comfort of fully heated cabs through almost 2,000 acres of privately owned terrain. During your day on Cascade Powder Cats, visitors can learn more about the area as well as experiencing the untracked areas and enjoying the area.

As the snow melts, the hikers come to Stevens Pass cabins to make the most of the area's many facilities, such as the wonderful Iron Goat Trail. At this time, visitors will enjoy the hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, and the panoramic views along the many scenic drives. With both the Wenatchee and Skykomish rivers, there are peaceful tubing runs and thrilling rafting rides as well as great fishing and swimming in the clear, clean rivers and lakes. Other activities available are horseback riding and golfing.

A Great Area for Outdoor Activities

Nearby, visitors can visit the national forest areas of Mount Baker-Snoqualmie and Wenatchee, where over four million acres offer exceptional recreational activities. In this vast wilderness, visitors can enjoy solitary hiking, excellent fishing, hunting and horseback riding. There are also trails for mountain biking, climbing and off-roading. With almost 400,000 acres, the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area is where visitors can make the most of the clean lake waters for fishing, swimming and boating.

At any time of year, visitors to Stevens Pass lodging will enjoy trips to the charming local towns. The quaint Bavarian-style village of Leavenworth is one of the most popular to visit. Here, visitors can enjoy year-round entertainment, festivals and theater trips. This town offers the chance to experience the sights and flavors of Germany without leaving the state. The town of North Bend provides visitors with shopping opportunities for gifts and antiques as well as good restaurants. A trip to Snoqualmie offers the Northwest Railway Museum, with excursions on antique trains, and the chance to explore Snoqualmie Falls. This waterfall, at close to 270 feet, is higher than Niagara Falls and truly spectacular sight.
