"This property has two homes on it. We stayed in the bigger one. The home is comfortable and clean. The kitchen comes with everything you will need to prepare meals. There are nice grassy areas for dogs. The river is right there and it is a sandy easy access to the water. The only con is there is no decent outdoor grill. There is a small charcoal one but it was dirty so we didn't want to use it."

"Tucked away off the main highway is a hidden gem of a cottage. Historic, nicely upgraded and next to the lovely clean river. Can't ask for more if you are looking for a peaceful retreat from busy life. Great place to decompress."

"We loved staying at the White Salmon Getaway! We arrived in beautifully sunny, warm June weather. This home was perfect for our family to spread out and relax while planning our next day’s adventures in the Columbia Gorge, Gifford Pinchot National Forest and Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument. The location is a short, pleasant drive from White Salmon – easy enough for a quick run to town for groceries or dining at Everbody’s Brewing or Pioneer Pizza in White Salmon. On the other hand, this lovely, immaculate home is far enough away to forget about city life and enjoy the solitude. We enjoyed strolling around the expansive grounds and eating our evening meals on the spacious deck in the quiet of the long summer evenings. Just about everything you can think of is provided including gas grill, small barbecue, fire pit, hammock, easy chairs. I particularly appreciated looking at the field guides for plants, flowers and trees so I could identify the local species of elderberry, berries, pine, fir and hemlock. The property manager answered all my preliminary questions and provided great directions and a full description of the amenities. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this home again. Three days was definitely too short a stay – planning to book a week next chance we have to visit the Gorge."
