  • Cozy, rustic cabin on the White Salmon River

"This is the perfect place to enjoy the sights and sounds of the White Salmon River. We loved eating by candlelight on the screened in porch, reading on the deck, and watching the rafters during the day! This is a beautiful spot close to great hiking and biking trails, orchards and vineyards, and picturesque towns."

  • Very inviting, clean, and nice!

"Just far enough away from the city, and yet close enough to access all of the restaurants, attractions, and activities. It is about a 20 minute drive to downtown Portland. Very spacious and clean. John was very accommodating and responsive to our needs. We enjoyed our time at this home. Private with lots of parking. There is a view of the Columbia river from the living room, and the bedrooms are on the back of the home with plenty of privacy. The entrance to the freeway system is just about 5 minutes from the home. Walking and jogging paths are close by."

  • New Years Hideaway

"We came to Eva's Cottage for a New Yrs getaway and it was perfect. The river was gorgeous, the surroundings quiet and pristine. The cabin itself was cozy and had a fireplace that warmed the whole house. The hot tub was so awesome to relax in in the 20 degree weather! Hiking and sightseeing options are everywhere you turn when you step out of the cabin, which is perfect for bringing our 2 dogs along. They even supplied us with dog towels and clean up necessities. We'll definitely return."

  • Great Family Home

"This home is set up beautifully for families. There are plenty of beds, games and activities to keep all ages happy. The kitchen is stocked nicely with pantry staples. The only complaint I have is the pots and pans are not up to standard for my cooking! Everything stuck to the pans!! We stayed here because of the uniqueness of the bridge and rail traffic. It added a whole new element of adventure for my husband and 4 children. Even though the tracks run fairly close to the home, you don't hear trains inside because they are moving so fast, and never blow their horns(unless your children are encouraging them from atop the bridge!) The home has a gorgeous view of the gorge, and we never saw the caretaker, even though his home is right next to the main house. We drove the 30 minute drive to Hood River and spent the day doing the Mt. Hood Railroad, Polar Express, Andrews Pizza, Air Museum, and Fruit Loop. It is a pet friendly home, with a basket by the front door with pet supplies, towels to wipe paws, and what not. We didn't bring our dog, but it was very thoughtful."
