  • Great Gedtaway

"My daughter and I spent July 17th and 18th at the cabin. Very peaceful and quiet. Was able to unwind and get away from traffic and city noises. Everything you need is in the cabin. Bring your food and drinks. One suggestion Roger. The bbq you provide is pretty flimsy. We were afraid that it may fall over. Thatr would be the only complaint I have. May be bringing my wife in the fall for a getaway. Thanks for the nice accomodations."

  • Very inviting, clean, and nice!

"Just far enough away from the city, and yet close enough to access all of the restaurants, attractions, and activities. It is about a 20 minute drive to downtown Portland. Very spacious and clean. John was very accommodating and responsive to our needs. We enjoyed our time at this home. Private with lots of parking. There is a view of the Columbia river from the living room, and the bedrooms are on the back of the home with plenty of privacy. The entrance to the freeway system is just about 5 minutes from the home. Walking and jogging paths are close by."

  • Perfect Stay

"We thoroughly enjoyed our extended stay in this cozy home in Bingen, Wa. Denise is very friendly, helpful, and hospitable. We highly recommend a stay here! The house has many great updates- very nice kitchen, bathroom, washer & dryer, satellite television, dvd player, and wifi. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed to make a nice meal to be enjoyed in warm weather out on the deck. The yard has undergone a major renovation and it is beautiful. Again, the large deck is a peaceful place to enjoy the gorgeous views and drink a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Staying in Bingen/White Salmon (a quick 5 minute trip across the bridge) is a great alternative to downtown Hood River. There are many excellent restaurants- Henni’s and Everybody’s Brewing in White Salmon. Bingen has Taqueria El Rinconcito Express, Mugs Coffee, Dicky’s Farm Store, and several more restaurants. The Farm Store carries many local wines, produce, and freshly baked pies & donuts. The Feast Store in White Salmon also has a nice selection of local and organic products some of which we don’t have in Portland. If you have a chance visit AniChe Cellars, Syncline, and Domaine Pouillon Wineries. Dog Mountain is a great hike with an awesome summit view. The trains run often, in our opinion it adds to the charm and it’s easily tolerated. Our young kids loved it and would run to windows to catch a glimpse. We have great memories of our stay here and look forward to coming back again soon."

  • Incredible Views!

"We spent Thanksgiving week at the Riverhouse and absolutely enjoyed our stay! The views of the Gorge were incredible and the accommodations comfortable, clean and well-maintained. We loved sitting by the fire and watching the Columbia River flow by as well as taking way too many pictures of the stunning sunrises and sunsets! The privacy of the cabin and beach allowed us to completely relax during our stay, which was exactly what we were hoping for. We loved the convenience of having a full kitchen as well as laundry in the cabin. And, the trains that occasionally came by, added to the charm of the area. We will definitely be back!"
