"We got married here in early September and absolutely loved everything about it. The property is gorgeous, spacious, varied, and unique. We loved that guests could wander around from the river to the little barn to the tent to the woods to just gawking at the epic view of Mt. Adams. It's obvious what enormous care Genevieve puts into maintaining the grounds and buildings, from tiny details to major amenities. She was also an amazing day-of-coordinator, ensuring everything went smoothly and helping find creative solutions for some wind that threatened to knock our flowers over :) Highly recommend for any occasion."

"This was our home away from home for us and our adult daughter for two weeks in July and we highly recommend it. The house and yard are lovely. Denise is a wonderful host, has lots of good ideas about things to do, and we appreciated the food treats she provided from time to time : ) The deck was the first thing which caught our eye on the website, and it met our expectations, great for hanging out with a glass of wine, and for playing guitar while enjoying the view! The house is neat, cozy, and very well equipped. Our only suggestion is a bedroom air conditioner would have been nice given some unusually hot days during our stay. As some other reviewers have mentioned, if the windows are open you can hear the train whistles very well from the house, this could be charming or annoying depending on your point of view. Bingen is a perfect home base for exploring the area, including bopping into Hood River or White Salmon. For folks interested in the outdoors we suggest getting a copy of “Curious Gorge” which has a wealth of info about hikes and points of interest up and down the gorge, around Mt. Hood to the south and Mt. Adams to the north. (We’ve been coming to the gorge for nine years and still find new stuff to do in this book.) Go to Everybody's brewery in White Salmon. Syncline & Cor wineries are close by and delicious, and if you go there also check out the Klickatat River. We also recommend rafting or kayaking the White Salmon River – which now has salmon and steelhead in it thanks to the removal of Condit Dam a few years ago! We had a great time and would definitely come back!"
