"We were a group of nine seniors looking for adventure in the Sun, we found it. This beautiful farmhouse not only provided all the accommodations needed for an enjoyable vacation (fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, dining area, and a combo reading/living room) but it is located in the perfect setting.
Mount Adams stands out north of the farmhouse (climbing trailhead 45 min. drive); the Town of Trout Lake is only a 5 min drive away with a gas station, store, USFS Ranger Station, sports bars, etc. The Columbia River Gorge is a 30 min drive to the south. We found the local roads provided great bide riding, hundreds of miles of great hiking trails are close at hand, cave exploring, fishing, river rides, and the list goes on.
Back to the farmhouse! Besides having great accommodations, it also has very interesting antiques and the yard surrounding the farmhouse offers a covered outbuilding for dinners, fire pit (firewood provided), horse shoe pit, large mowed yard, scattered seating, antique farm equipment, and much more.
This Craftsman farmhouse offers cover porches which our group very much enjoyed at the end of the day. Our seven day visit passed by very quickly. Genevieve was a great host and our group very much wants to return next year."
