  • Expectations exceeded!!

"This rental home exceeded our expectations! The caretakers are super friendly, the location on.the.beach. couldn't be better. There is more room than the pictures show and what a peaceful place. The kids loved the loft rooms, we loved the morning and sunset views. They thought of everything down to the laundry soap so we could wash/dry our beach towels and swimsuits, to the dishwashing soap (I didn't think to bring). Do yourself a favor if you are going to Moclips rent this one!"

  • fly fishing-turkey dinner eating-campfire singing heaven

"Three families of 50 to 70-something folks landed here with fly rods (the gents!) and books and fixin's for a turkey dinner! Oh yes, some Rye Whiskey, a little champagne and high hopes... and we were NOT disappointed. The cabin is clean and comfortable, and the water access for fly fishing Cutties, Nooks and Silvers was private and lovely. We have already re-booked for next year, same time! Plan to eat in, however, as the restaurant choices nearby were slim and disappointing. Who cares...-it's all about home cooking!! Loved the outdoor fire pit!"

  • Cozy and relaxing!

"We had a wonderful time at the little river cabin in Quilcene! It was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend out of the city. The hosts were very hospitable and made sure we were well taken care of. There are lots of great hikes nearby, and the cute town of Quilcene is just two miles down the road. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone needing a respite in the forest."

  • Magical Birthday Weekend

"I wanted to have a fun, yet relaxing birthday weekend on the beach. I love Kalaloch beach but hate the awful cabins that are the only place to stay other than camping and as you probably have guessed by now, I hate camping. So I googled "beach houses on the Olympic Peninsula" and found a few great looking houses near Moclips. I emailed everyone and the owner of the Moonstone was the first to respond. I liked the pictures of the house online, it was on the beach, had a hot tub and a very similar name to my sail boat so I though why not? As the date of my birthday weekend came closer I began to worry...what if the house was dirty, or small or what if the owner got the dates wrong and we had to share with ANOTHER BIRTHDAY!? my anxiety proved wasteful as we arrived and got our keys from a gentleman at the Moonstone Motel located next door, he was delightful, put us at ease and gave us great tips about unpacking the car, etc. When we arrived at the Moonstone Beach House I was astonished at how it matched the online pictures. It was large, but also cozy, clean and for lack of a better word, perfect. We had a wonderful time hiking near and on the beach, watching the sea from our deck, sitting in the hot tub and making meals in the ample kitchen. It truly was a magical birthday weekend."
