  • All it claims to be...

"We love the location of this house. You can travel every direction and see the beauty of the Pacific Northwest Peninsula--the nearby beaches, Cape Flattery, Lake Crescent, Sequim, and the ferry to Victoria. We drove to Kalaloch but you could go farther down the coast if you wanted to. The house is very inviting and comfortable. We were there during the heat wave, but the fans in the windows in the evening and night made it cool and the beds were excellent. There were four of us (2 couples) and we highly recommend this home."

  • Excellent stay

"The owner is great. There were no issues booking the place or finding it and the directions were superb. The house was great. We loved the fireplace and the selection of board games and books. The welcome basket was very nice too. The sound of the river in the morning was very pleasing and the patio was a nice place to have a cup of coffee."

  • Best Place to Have a mini Vacation

"This place was awesome. We were there for a softball tournament in Forks and it was perfect for us. Byron made us feel very welcome. Our team loved it. We are looking forward to doing it next year. We might even stay longer. There is so much to see. Thank you so much. P.s. We got Sportsmanship Award for the tournament weekend."

  • We wanted to stay longer!!!

"My husband and I wanted to explore the Hoh Rain Forest and nearby areas, and I discovered the Hoh Valley Hideaway online and booked it as our "base camp". We were absolutely delighted with the location, the cabin, and the surroundings. You can't find a more secluded place to stay - so very quiet and peaceful there, you can't help but feel relaxed. The surrounding forest just beckons, and the trails through the woods that begin right on this property's edge are a perfect way to explore and learn about the rain forest vegetation and habitat. Plus, you can take all kinds of day trips easily from this location - visit the Hoh Rain Forest, the Duncan Memorial Western Cedar Tree (largest western red cedar tree in the world), and, just a few miles' drive from the cabin is a wonderful approx-one mile hike through the woods along the Hoh River to its mouth at the Pacific Ocean. Take a picnic lunch and a blanket to sit on! The town of Forks has a huge Thriftway grocery store with about anything your heart desires, and there are several little restaurants there for your dining pleasure. Take my word for it - you will not be disappointed with the Hoh Valley Hideaway. It is absolutely a little piece of Heaven on earth, and Kamala is a dream of a hostess! Thanks so much ~"

What to See Near Forks Cabins

The Forks Timber Museum is worth a look while you're in the area. The Pacific Northwest has been a big timber area for a very long time, and a lot of the towns that are there today came about because of timber. The history of the area is significant and important. There is also the Indian Village of La Push to see, as well as the Hurricane Ridge Visitor's Center in Olympic National Park. None of those great sites are far from the Forks cabins, so you can go see them for the day and then settle in for the night at the Forks lodging of your choice.

Don't Forget the Great Restaurants While You're There

Seafood restaurants are among the most popular, but there are also other choices. While you're exploring the Olympic Peninsula, be sure to try out South North Gardens and Forks Coffee Shop, as well as Pacific Pizza. You'll find so many selections near your Forks lodging that even the pickiest eaters will have a lot of choices.
