  • Best Place to Have a mini Vacation

"This place was awesome. We were there for a softball tournament in Forks and it was perfect for us. Byron made us feel very welcome. Our team loved it. We are looking forward to doing it next year. We might even stay longer. There is so much to see. Thank you so much. P.s. We got Sportsmanship Award for the tournament weekend."

  • Sanctuary in the rain forest

"For my birthday I decided that I wanted to visit the Olympic Peninsula and specifically the rain forest. I was so thrilled to have found HVH! Its a cozy house nestled in the woods about 12 miles south of Forks, WA. It is very remote. The owner has fully equipped this house, so there is very little you need to bring other than clothes, food and of course your personal items. It has 2 bedrooms with twin beds in one, and a queen in another. We slept on the queen and it was a wonderful mattress! Usually in rental houses you get beaten down, old, uncomfortable ones that hurt your back. Not this one. It was truly a really nice mattress and we both slept well while we were there. The house is fully stocked. It has games, movies, magazines galore, a highchair, rain ponchos, rain boots, umbrellas, extra leash for your dog, doggy bags, shoe dryers, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, all kitchen items necessary, towels and extra towels, washer/dryer and more. Quite well equipped for a small home. The yard hosts a firepit, wood, and a lighted gazebo with a bbq grill so one can sit out on a nice evening and enjoy a cookout or just a fire. There is also a play toy for the kids! And lots of room for your small dog to run around. The best thing about it though is the location. As I mentioned, it is very remote and so very quiet. There are a mile of trails in the woods around this home and they are well maintained. Walking through these trails, one experiences the majesty of the rain forest in all of its glory. There really isn't a reason to drive to the Hoh Rain Forest from here and pay the park fees to see that. You can experience the rain forest perfectly just by visiting Hoh Valley Hideaway. I highly recommend it."

  • Perfect for two families!

"This cabin was perfect! It had everything we needed! We really wanted a peaceful place to stay with our families and it exceeded our expectations! The place was very clean and inviting. We loved the special s'more sticks and the fire wood all ready to go. We enjoyed a fire in the morning and at night. If we come back to the area, we will definitely stay here!"

  • All it claims to be...

"We love the location of this house. You can travel every direction and see the beauty of the Pacific Northwest Peninsula--the nearby beaches, Cape Flattery, Lake Crescent, Sequim, and the ferry to Victoria. We drove to Kalaloch but you could go farther down the coast if you wanted to. The house is very inviting and comfortable. We were there during the heat wave, but the fans in the windows in the evening and night made it cool and the beds were excellent. There were four of us (2 couples) and we highly recommend this home."
