  • All it claims to be...

"We love the location of this house. You can travel every direction and see the beauty of the Pacific Northwest Peninsula--the nearby beaches, Cape Flattery, Lake Crescent, Sequim, and the ferry to Victoria. We drove to Kalaloch but you could go farther down the coast if you wanted to. The house is very inviting and comfortable. We were there during the heat wave, but the fans in the windows in the evening and night made it cool and the beds were excellent. There were four of us (2 couples) and we highly recommend this home."

  • Everything we needed and more

"Our family - three generations and 7 in all - had a great time in Olympic National Park thanks in large part to our choice of this lodging. As our granddaughters would say - awesome! The house had everything we needed and so much more. We loved the river view, the eagle who visited frequently, the fire ring perfect for smores and so much more. The the highlight for the girls was their 'adventure' down the river bank to walk on the river stones. They even conned grandma into the trip. Julie is the best host ever."

  • Sweet Spot

"What a wonderful vacation spot. The cottage itself was delightfully decorated and fully stocked. The property was beautiful - we loved exploring the Park during the day and coming back to the Retreat in the afternoon to relax, make good meals, and enjoy watching the river and the wildlife. Very private and quiet. Booking was easy and the rental folks are very helpful. We really loved our Olympic National Park vacation, and staying at the Riverside Retreat made it even better. Thanks again!"

  • Peaceful retreat

"We were sorry we only had one evening to spend at the Lodge. It would be a wonderful place to spend more time, gracious and peaceful. A short walk brings you to the Sol Duc river, yet the Lodge is easily accessed from Rte 101. The house has a well stocked kitchen and the beds were extremely comfortable. The evening was slightly chilly, we enjoyed using the gas fireplace."

What to See Near Forks Cabins

The Forks Timber Museum is worth a look while you're in the area. The Pacific Northwest has been a big timber area for a very long time, and a lot of the towns that are there today came about because of timber. The history of the area is significant and important. There is also the Indian Village of La Push to see, as well as the Hurricane Ridge Visitor's Center in Olympic National Park. None of those great sites are far from the Forks cabins, so you can go see them for the day and then settle in for the night at the Forks lodging of your choice.

Don't Forget the Great Restaurants While You're There

Seafood restaurants are among the most popular, but there are also other choices. While you're exploring the Olympic Peninsula, be sure to try out South North Gardens and Forks Coffee Shop, as well as Pacific Pizza. You'll find so many selections near your Forks lodging that even the pickiest eaters will have a lot of choices.
