  • Play it Again Sam

"This was my second time at the cottage. Again, not a single disappointment. Clean, well kept - perfect. Hoodsport is close enough for a trip to the market and Port Townsend is just about an hour away for a day trip. The seals on the raft are perfect neighbors, and the beach is literally "littered" with delicious oysters. The location is beautiful, serene, and the perfect antidote to a stressed out life. Will definitely visit again."

  • Best family vacation we've ever had!

"This is a beautiful home. There were 6 in our group including 2 kids ages 7 & 9. Our stay was a full 5 days. We kayaked (2 provided at the house with lots of life vests in all sizes). We ate more oysters straight out of the water that we ever thought we could've found. ( I suggest buying an oyster shucking tool before you try this) . We used the fire place in the house and fire pit outside. The kids made good use of the ping pong tables, air hockey, and the huge selection of movies in the evenings. We used the kitchen a lot, we brought all our own food & paper products. The house is stocked with spices, pots, pans, serving and mixing bowls, and eating utensils. There was also, soap for dishes and hand soap in every bathroom, paper towels, toilet paper, bath and hand towels were all stocked as well. We had a slight issue with running out of hot water and a toilet that overflowed but those issues were easily over looked. We took the ferry to Seattle and that was loads of fun, we walked pikes place market and went to the Seattle city center. Then did port Townsend which was an adorable little town. The owner was wonderful, calling before we got there and had a bottle of wine and two wine glasses waiting for us as well as water bottles and snacks. I would recommend this house in a heart beat. Our only regret is not coming during fishing season, but that may not matter to some. We are literally on our way to the airport and so sad about leaving."

  • Amazing Home and View!

"We have been to this one of a kind location many times over the last few years and every time it seems to get better. The house and views never disappoint. Every time we have arrived, the house has been spotless and ready for our stay. The management has always been very helpful with any questions we might have. I'd highly recommend visiting Alderbrook (down the street) for their Sunday brunch as well as Robinhood for dinner. They are true Hood Canal landmarks that shouldn't be missed! Will continue to return!"

  • Hood Canal home

"Unbeatable location! Wonderful deck right on the Hood Canal. Lots of space but a little dated. Comfortable bed. The second bedroom can accommodate maybe four people. Downside, only one bathroom. We were able to have our puppy with us, a definite plus!"
