"Our family of 5 had a wonderful spring break here at the lavender farm. The house was spacious, yet cozy and our kids loved exploring the open spaces farm and jacuzzi on the back deck. Can't wait to visit again!"

"This was my second trip to Sandy Toes. I absolutely love it. Very dog friendly, he even got his own special letter. The hot tub is great. Perfect location. Close to the beach and away from the city traffic. Lots of movies to watch if you have the time after playing on the beach and riding the path into downtown Westport. The owner and manager are great and very helpful. Super helpful. I would highly recommend this for a girls get away, and a family outing with children."

"We stayed in the home for 5 days and it was absolutely wonderful. The home is very well decorated and furnished. There was never a kitchen item we could not find, they have done a great job stocking the home with all the essentials you could ever need and more! The house is fully stocked with board games and 1,000's of Lego's for the kids (that was a great surprise!)
The views from the windows are amazing and the distance from the home to the beach was very impressive, as was the beach it's self. It is FILLED with shells and sand dollars. My kids were entertained daily collecting the shells.
We are a younger family and did not have an issue with all the stairs in the home, but would warn the elderly or people that do not fair well with stairs, that this home has A LOT of stairs that must be climbed to access each of the floors in the home.
The pictures in this ad do the home no justice, this house is absolutely beautiful! We vacation at various beaches along the westcoast each year and have stayed at many beach homes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house and actually look forward to returning (hopefully in the winter storm months!)
Thank you Marty for opening this wonderful home up for a rental for families like mine to enjoy!"

"With temperatures in the 90’s it seemed like a prefect weekend to head to Hood Canal. Starfish Studio Cottage was perfect. The cabin’s interior is dark because of the paneling but once the many wonderful windows are thrown open it lightens right up. We never closed them, not even during a stormy (lighting/thunder) day or in the evenings. (There were no mosquitoes) If you are the type that needs to take a break from heat the interior was always pleasantly cool. The house is situated so that our north deck with table and chairs had sun from early morning until 5 pm. For the two of us, there was plenty of room to leave the Murphy Bed down and still easily move around the cottage. The canal is just 6-8 steps down a concert stairway and was warm enough for swimming and there are oysters everywhere for the picking. During our slack tide times you do notice highway noise and the seals can make some pretty rude sounds during the night. Our first night we saw a 6 otters at play on the up turned row boat float and the highest number of seals out on the submerged float numbered 13! Our neighbors were great. One recommended the burgers at the Eagle Creek Saloon and the other recommend the hike and swim at the falls in Dosewallipis State park. For particular sleepers note that Suzanne uses feather pillows which can be squishy and the mattress is on the softer side. Kitchen was great, big sink, good stove and good sized fridge. There is a full dry spice rack, some basics: corn oil, vinegar etc in the cupboard and a good sharp knife. Bigger coffee cups would be a plus! Thanks Suzanne!"
