"stayed at this house for a week while enjoying hiking/biking/kayaking in the pacific northwest. very clean house with all the basics you need to do you own cooking and relaxing. master bedroom/bath is on opposite side of the house from other two bedrooms and bath which is convenient for families with children, couples traveling together or friends that want more privacy. Safeway and Walmart are about a 5 minute drive. If you like organic food, check out Country Aire grocery store. For any yoga enthusiasts, check out Poser Yoga in downtown Port Angeles. Make sure you include time to reach the main highway (about 5 minutes) and drive through Port Angeles (15-20 minutes) if you plan to take any trips west of the city."

"My husband and two year old twins arrived on a beautiful, sunny day. We were instantly drawn around the cabin exploring the ins and outs. We spent hours on the beach throwing rocks in the water, swimming, playing in the sandbox, and swinging in the hammock. We cooked all our meals at the cabin and were never in need of anything (dishes to well-stocked pantry). We loved watching the eagles, seals, heron, and sea gulls searching out their breakfast as the sun came up behind the cabin. As the day ended, the sun set directly in front of us every night, and we played cards by chandelier light until 10pm! We also ventured to Staircase for a hike and loved being so close. Our last day, my mom came and picked up the kids and we were able to sneak away to Alderbrook for a massage. It was perfect! Also, when the power went out due to a brush fire across the canal from the cabin, Kathy was quick to call and text providing us with the information we needed to be safe and comfortable. Thank you Kathy and Darrel for sharing your slice of heaven on Hood Canal. We will be back!"

"Excellent cabin space and adequate. We only had three staying although we first thought 6 guests would be our plan. Easy access and great walking spaces (saw mother doe with her twins) in the mornings. We ate out so did not use stove, pots, etc. but felt they would have been adequate for everything. If we need to stay in this area again (we were at that area for a wedding at Lk. Cushman) we will remember this cabin."

"This house was beautiful! It is even more beautiful in person, everything was super clean and we felt well taken care of with all the kitchen utensils, cozy bedding, ample places to sleep, and SO much space. Great place to play board games, enjoy a glass of wine, and watch the weather. Beautiful sunset views from the house every night.
A huge plus that they allowed us to bring our dogs with us and responded to my emails within minutes. Jo was a pleasure to work with and the house is stunning. Highly recommended!"
