"Such a wonderful little place. Plenty of amenities. We started calling it the magic house because when ever we wondered if they had this or that we always found it. The owners thought of every detail. the home is very clean and very well decorated. All the comforts of home. Would recommend everyone to visit the caddy shack. So glad we found this little gem. 💛😀"

"The house was great! Clean, nice appliances, gorgeous view, all the comforts of home. We have a boat and it was so nice to have it right there! We all used the Kayaks and Paddle boat too. We liked it so much we're reserving a week for next summer! The kitchen was fully stocked, everything was wonderful! House even has AC for the hot summer weather."

"Had a wonderful time at the cabin. The lake was beautiful and walking distance. The creek was a god send with all the young kids ( and adults!) Unfortunately there was a burn ban in full force so no camp fire or charcoal bbq but Kim got us all set up with a brand new gas bbq! Already planning our next trip!"

"This is a very nice little cabin in a beautiful location. The other reviews for the cabin are overwhelmingly positive and I largely agree with the plusses. We particularly enjoyed the kid-friendliness. The field behind the cabin is big and nice to run on even in the dry conditions of late August. The Lake Cushman Maintenance Company, of which the cabin is a part, has numerous private parks (you get access via a parking pass that comes with the rental). These parks are very nice and, probably by virtue of being private, aren't too crowded.
That said, however, here are the things preventing me from giving a 5 star review:
There is no reasonable way to walk to the nearest park by the lake. The straight-line path to the lake would take you through a number of properties, and the final leg is down a steep hill with a somewhat narrow sidewalk-less road. The development is very consistent with the Great American Development Curse: namely the assumption that everybody wants to get in their car to go anywhere. That said, the lake is about a 2 min drive and walkable in a pinch (i.e. by older children and fit adults).
The beds are not terribly comfortable. There is plenty of bedding, but the mattresses left my wife and I a little stiff some mornings and they squeek like crazy.
There is a bizarre lack of lids for the pots and pans. And if you cook a big meal there's very little in which to store left-overs. Possibly past renters have absconded with the tupperware...
This doesn't affect my review of rental, but if you choose to stay here it is important to note that you should plan on eating most of your meals in. The dining options along Hood Canal are extremely limited. Fortunately the cabin's kitchen is, excepting some missing lids, very well suited for cooking.
Again, this review focuses on the negatives mostly because the positives have been so well highlighted in other reviews. It is a very nice cabin, is well maintained and is very much as advertised. We had a great time."
