  • Fantastic Townhome - Great Location!!

"The condo is very spacious and has all the comforts of home - you can tell it is not just a rental and is, instead, a retreat for the owners as well. With the 2 bedrooms and full bath downstairs, there is tons of space in the upstairs for the living/kitchen/half bath. The building only has 3 units in it (this one being an end unit) with a sister building of another 3 units next to it, so it's not one of those massive developments and it is in a very quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from the main drag in Long Beach which made walking to to the delicious Cottage Bakery everyday too easy. The building sits at a bit of a perpendicular angle to the coast, so the living room deck looks across the dunes and part of the ocean while the patio off the master bedroom (as well as the kitchen window) looks over the dunes towards the main Bolstad beach approach. There are screens on the patio/windows, so we were able to leave them open and enjoy the sounds of the ocean while lounging in the living room. The walk to the beach and/or discovery trail is very short and just past the condo as it is near the end of a dead end road shortly before the discovery trail. We were even treated to deer wandering through the neighborhood on more than one occasion during our stay. Corresponding and booking with the owner was easy and pleasant. You really cannot go wrong with this rental."

  • Olympic National Park Getaway

"What a great place to just hang out or use a base for the fantastic Hoh Rainforest and wild Olympic Beaches. The location is ideal What a great place to just hang out or use a base for the fantastic Hoh Rainforest and wild Olympic Beaches. The location is very private and the only thing one can hear is the lovely SolDuc River running just below the deck. And oh that deck! A barbecue grill and a metal firtion is very private and the only thing one can hear is the lovely SolDuc River running just below the deck. And oh that deck! A barbecue grill and a metal fire pit for evening campfires sitting in the comfortable outdoor couch. Both mornings we stayed there we watched an eagle fly upriver. I visit the Forks area often and find that having a well stocked kitchen is essential when staying in or near Forks. This kitchen has everything you could possibly need for week stay or just a long weekend. If the weather should turn wet you can still sit outside and enjoy the river on the covered deck. Inside you can enjoy the comfort of a great wood stove with plenty of firewood provided.. The furnishings are top notch and the bedrooms very comfortable. Great place stay for a large family or if multi family lodging is required. This would be a great place for a retreat among friends. Then there is Julie the owner. You will be hard pressed t find a landlord as easy to deal with! She does everything she can to make your visit a memorable one. I can not say enough about this terrific rental. I also had the pleasure to stay at Julie's other rental down the street Cozy River House 1. I would have a tough time deciding between these two rentals. I love them both. I have been a regular visitor to the Forks area for over 36 years my only regret is that I did not discover Cozy River House 1 and 2 years ago. Summer in the area is fantastic, but for me the time to consider staying is Spring and Autumn. We hope to be able to spend Thanksgiving here."

  • Perfect coastal getaway!

"From the moment we stepped inside, this place felt like home. This was the most well-stocked rental we have ever stayed in. The owners have thought of everything you might need and left detailed instructions to keep everything running smoothly. The wood stove kept us warm and cozy on our December romantic getaway, although the baseboard provided plenty of heat. Who can resist a cozy fire in December? The private beach is filled with the most amazing tidal pools. There is a small waterfall just outside the kitchen window! We identified many ships using, and the wi-fi was terrific. There are many puzzles and games for rainy and cold days, but the books about the local area and history were captivating. The house is super clean, too. We plan on returning with the whole family! If you go, plan to drive to Neah Bay and hike out to Cape Flattery. You won't regret it! The By the Bay Cafe in Seiku has great food and service if you want a break from cooking."

  • Oakbay Dream House

"This was our 4th time at this house and words cannot describe how beautiful and serene the house is! We brought our children and grand children for a relaxing week of enjoying the magnificent views. A bald eagle visited every morning. David and Kim have equipped this place with everything you would need during your stay and are very prompt in responding to your every need. We were very sad to leave it and can't wait to go again. We highly recommend Oakbay for the perfect vacation!"
