  • Fantastic Townhome - Great Location!!

"The condo is very spacious and has all the comforts of home - you can tell it is not just a rental and is, instead, a retreat for the owners as well. With the 2 bedrooms and full bath downstairs, there is tons of space in the upstairs for the living/kitchen/half bath. The building only has 3 units in it (this one being an end unit) with a sister building of another 3 units next to it, so it's not one of those massive developments and it is in a very quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from the main drag in Long Beach which made walking to to the delicious Cottage Bakery everyday too easy. The building sits at a bit of a perpendicular angle to the coast, so the living room deck looks across the dunes and part of the ocean while the patio off the master bedroom (as well as the kitchen window) looks over the dunes towards the main Bolstad beach approach. There are screens on the patio/windows, so we were able to leave them open and enjoy the sounds of the ocean while lounging in the living room. The walk to the beach and/or discovery trail is very short and just past the condo as it is near the end of a dead end road shortly before the discovery trail. We were even treated to deer wandering through the neighborhood on more than one occasion during our stay. Corresponding and booking with the owner was easy and pleasant. You really cannot go wrong with this rental."

  • Nicely appointed one-bedroom house, perfect for our vacation in Ocean Park

"The two of us rented this home for 10 days in July 2014, and what a pleasant stay it turned out to be. We had never been to Ocean Park and were not familiar with its neighborhoods, but it was where we wanted to spend time away from the hot summer in eastern Washington. So we had to rely on the VRBO listing for information about this house, which we found to be accurate and helpful. The owners were quite responsive to our e-mail queries and a phone call, which facilitated our choosing this house. The first thing we noticed about the house was the neighborhood - lush and green, tall trees, widely spaced homes, and Q-U-I-E-T! Really, we were often surprised by - and certainly thankful for - the peace and quiet in this area. We particularly appreciated the dog-friendly terms of the rental, as we were including our two Shelties in our vacation plans. The dogs proved to be as happy and low-maintenance as usual, and we all enjoyed the large yard (not fenced) as well as the quiet streets for taking long walks. And we took lots of walks. Downtown Ocean Park is an easy and pleasant mile, with the library right on the way, where wi-fi Internet is available. We had our bicycles, too, and made several excursions to pick blueberries, tour Oysterville and Leadbetter state park, and along the Discovery Trail in Long Beach. The mild weather was perfect for these outings. This house has a covered back porch and a garage that were perfect for storing bicycles and various gear. All in all, we found the house clean, comfortable, and appropriate for a vacation rental, and the rate seemed reasonable and appropriate for the size and style of the house. The kitchen was well-equipped, we used the washer and dryer several times, and we especially loved not having cable or satellite TV - it was a vacation! Recommended."

  • A Satisfying Stay

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house served us well for our vacation. The website pictures accurately depicted the home however, when we got there the house was bigger than we expected which was nice. The kids loved the backyard and the loft upstairs for playing. We had trouble with the hot water but the manager addressed the issue right away. The fire alarm downstairs went over whenever we used the toaster. We had all that we needed while staying there and it was a very cozy house. Good wifi connection, too."
