  • Wonderful Views!

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice house with amazing views of the beach and beautiful sunsets!! The Bloomer cleaning staff also does a superb job in prepping the house. Their homes are always super clean and well thought out for renters. If there was anything that could be improved that would be to add a filtration system for the water to remove the sulfur smell. We cant wait to go back next summer! Manager responded on 8/22/2014: Thank You for your wonderful review!! the owners will be putting in a whole new water filtration system in this winter, we cant wait to hear about your next stay. Thank You Chandy"

  • Amazing beach house rental!

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Knole House is great place to stay. Several of our friends stayed with us for 4 days and they all loved it as well. there were many fun things to do at the house, and location was great with regards to distance from the beach as well as distance from the town. We had a fantastic time. The management was very hopeful through an issue that we experienced which was quickly addressed. The management was also very understanding of a couple of minor issues we caused. All in all my friends, my wife, and I loved staying at the Knole house, and we hope to return some day."

  • Annual President's Weekend Beach Vacation

"The house was modern and very clean. It allowed our two families (one with toddler and one with teens) the space we needed. If you are stuck indoors due to weather it is a great find. There were books (children and adult), games (board, card and ping-ping) and electronics (multiple TVs with cable and a Wii) if you HAVE to be inside. The property is on the beach, so the view is unobstructed, but it is a little bit of a walk to get to the water. The kitchen amenities were amazing. Well beyond what we have in our homes. The crib and baby gates (these were necessary with the stairs), were thoughtful. The rooms were well stocked with towels, sheets, and extra blankets. We did end up purchasing a cookie sheet to make cookies/pizza on and I recommend one for the house. Other than that it was a great place and would have been a great weekend if not for the near hurricane strength winds that arrived. But I guess that is the risk of being on a beach!"

  • Decent and affordable.

"The area around the Cape Disappointment State Park is beautiful to visit. The park at the north end of the peninsula has some nice trails that are easy to walk. I also liked the small town shopping area and the paved bike trail that runs along several miles of the beachfront. Overall a really lovely area that I will want to visit again! Inside of the house was what some folks might call "shabby chic". The furnishings were plain but serviceable. The kitchen, bathroom and bedding were clean. Enough cookware to make a basic meal. There was a boombox and wireless Internet, plus plenty of old books and boardgames. A lamp in the living room wasn't working, even with a new bulb. There were also some burnt-out bulbs in the kitchen. I took all the floor mats outside for a good shake as they were sandy. I don't think they had been cleaned for a while. I found the yard in serious need of some clean-up. The back area behind the wood shed needs to be visited by a weed whacker and a pair of gardening shears. I also found that the the outside of the windows were cobwebbed, so on my first days I walked around the house with a broom and swept away the dust and webs from the windows! For a couple, a small family, or someone with a dog, it is an ideal vacation getaway. The location is only a block from a supermarket and a few restaurants. The beach is about a 1/2 mile walk down the road. Plenty of parks and trails to explore. The only real negative is that this property is starting to get a bit run-down, even for the price. I think the owners should think about taking a couple of weeks to do some serious yard work, fix the front porch, do some paint both inside and out, etc. It's such a pretty and ideal cottage, I hate to see it not in tip-top shape."
