  • Winter Wonderland

"Two girlfriends and I stayed at Winston and Connie's home for an extended weekend in November. The house was perfect, everything we were expecting and so much more. There are three full bedrooms, each with a private bathroom: one upstairs and two all the way downstairs. The main level of the home has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, breakfast nook and great room (where we spent most of our time). There's a small TV upstairs in the den outside the third bedroom and a one down in the master bedroom. Not that you'd want to watch TV here anyway but we did hook up our Chromecast one night for a movie. The house is equipped with great wifi (used with our Chomecast and for work VPN). The house is right on the water. There's a dock out back with a diving board! We took a few dips in the water even though it was very, very cold. Had to test it out for our return trip this summer! The house is just outside of Port Angeles; we were about 20 minutes from downtown. We drove in for dinner at Michael's one night and then realized we could cook better at home. We also had a day trip to Forks and La Push and a short excursion to Marymere Falls. Less hike, more nature walk. The closest grocery store is in Port Angeles- there's an Albertson's and a Safeway. If you're coming from Forks, there's also a nice Thrift Way there. I cannot recommend Winston and Connie's home highly enough, they built it with lots of love and it's wonderful to share. Winston was always on call and incredibly hospitable, although we only needed him once (and I don't even recall why). There were little touches all over the place that made this feel like home: spices in the cabinet, laundry detergent by the washing machine; small comforts that we surely appreciated. We cannot wait to come back again."

  • The Best VRBO EVER...

"This house is absolutely amazing. We have traveled a great deal and typically use VRBOS for many reasons... Primarily the space and location, but The Love Nest exceeded our expectations. This house is decorated so tastefully; the kitchen is fantastic and has all of the necessities to prepare any meal you'd like (the quality of the cookware, dishes and appliances is unbelievable). The house is very clean; most comfortable beds you can imagine; softest p, biggest bath towels you can imagine. The location is on Place Road and is just breathtaking. You have a beautiful private garden, with a hot tub and a great little garden. The book and movie collection is very extensive. Unfortunately, we had so many things to do in the area that we did not get to relax and enjoy the property as we had hoped. I do hope we are able to visit again. Lyndee and Allen are gracious and accommodating. You will not regret booking this home. Enjoy yourself!! The Stouts from NC"

  • Extremely happy with the Cabin, Lake and Owners

"The cabin was all we had hoped for. Absolutely perfect spot. The lake was warm enough to swim in. The cabin had everything we needed to prepare meals, play music and watch DVD's. We will definitely be staying again next year."
