  • Wonderful getaway!

"We had a great time! We brought our 2 kids age 3 and 6 and we all enjoyed the hot tub multiple times and went down to the beach to explore 2 of the days. The kids thought it was so fun to lift the beach rocks and see all the tiny crabs :) It was so peaceful too, we were the only ones on the beach! We made use of the BBQ for dinners and sat on the deck on the last day with our coffee; it was a beautiful day and we saw 2 bald eagles!! Our son wanted to count the steps down to the beach (we counted close to 100!) great workout going back up those stairs ;) We enjoyed how nice everything was in the house, the heated floors were wonderful too! We will most certainly be back and will recommend the Garden Cottage to others too! Thank you!!!"

  • What a gorgeous spot!

"This is our second time to stay at this house. It is beautiful beyond belief. You feel like your are a million miles away. The weather is spectacular during July! and the shellfish harvesting was incredible."

  • Port Ludlow home

"Wow! I stepped into the house (No! This was a warm, monumental HOME!) and immediately I see a huge ship passing before me down the straits heading for the Pacific Ocean. What a view. I sit on the cozy padded couch, turn on the fireplace, continue to gaze at the everchanging panorama : eagles, sea gulls in the air and killer whales in the water drifting by along with various ships...and no people. It is so pleasant and relaxing that I doze. Yes, it was that relaxing to me and my wife. I awoke, galvanized by this home, made cocktails, sipped and cooked a sumpuous dinner (the kitchen is fully decked out with utensils, dishes, lighting, with music in the background. We crept back to a very comfortable, spacious bedroom and slept the night away and woke early to one of the most gorgeous sun rises I have ever seen...Hawaii, eat your heart out. We enjoyed the surrounding grounds as we did leisurely walks, swam in the area indoor pool, reveled in drives around the area: Port Townsend with great stores and restaurants, Port Gamble, got a quick nine holes of golf...but really looked forward to getting back to our home away from home so that we could relax, read, doze, ogle the skyline and ever present view, cook, read, view, sleep, eat..............plain old RELAX! I plan on returning to this outstanding retreat. Thank you so much for such a wonderful place and location and all the amenities that you have to offer. Bob Lycan"

  • Olympic Ridge Dr., Vacation Home

"My wife and I had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home for two months. The house is located on a hill at treetop level overlooking the Hood Canal and Puget Sound, with spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains and Mt. Baker in the Cascades. A few yards down Olympic Ridge Dr. near Fern Gully Dr. you can see Mt. Rainier on a clear day. The house was very comfortable, spacious and visually pleasing. A huge deck surrounds the living room and is accessed from the Master bedroom, Living room and side entry. The landscaping was beautiful, complete with Apple trees, garden areas, and even a gold fish pond. Wildlife was abundant including many species of birds, ranging from Bald Eagles to Hummingbirds. We had the privilege to attend a pot luck dinner at the owners Father's home nearby, meet a few of the neighbors and participate in making apple cider fresh from the harvest. We enjoyed visiting many local areas of interest and had a wonderful time."
