"Lots of seclusion is right! 2 gates to get to this house, which we love. This house also has a HUGE private pond that our kids loved. Lots of frogs and another small pond with koi in the garden. The only downside is the stairs in the house are wooden and very slippery (we have small children). Next time we go back were going to bring a baby gate. The house is clean, private and peaceful. The walk to the beach however is overgrown. Since it is so private it looks as though the beach path isn't kept up. We had a running type stroller and barely made it through all the brush. It was a challenge. This was the only set back for us. If you have older children and are very limber I would say the path is just fine for you but something to take into consideration. We do plan on coming back because of the seclusion, peaceful setting and wildlife."

  • Had a wonderful time, will be back!

"We had a great Pirate Daze weekend at this house! The yard and driveway are a good size, the house was great for us with kids because they could sleep in the extra "closet" rooms off of our main room, and the living room has plenty of seating. Warm, clean, comfortable - much more so than some of the run down places we have stayed in Westport. My only complaint is the oven. We cook for our whole group (10+) at one house, and the stove wasn't quite up to the task of easily making breakfast or dinner for everyone."

  • Ocean-front Westport Condo

"The view of the ocean draws you as you walk into the condo. We saw some beautiful sunsets while we were here. The condo is comfortable and modern. We used the fold-out couch in the living room to accomodate our 5th person, and it was very comfortable. While here, we walked and played on the beach several times each day. True polar bears can swim in the surf, but the rest of us enjoy the pool more!! The tidal flats provided a great surface for my husband's early morning runs. We also loved walks with our infant grandson in the frontpack carrier. There is also a walkway up along the bluff, and we saw families, children on bikes, and even a person in a wheelchair up there! The town of Westport is charming, and has some good places to eat. We like buying our fresh fish from a fisherman at #8. We had a wonderful and restful time with our family, enjoying the beach and the town, and would recommend it heartily to others!"

  • Beach house paradise.

"I want to give this place a one ONLY to keep people away in case I want to go back whenever I want! Yes, call that greedy, but this place is now my favorite beach getaway. Perfect rooms, beautiful upper private master with gorgeous view of the ocean. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on main floor perfect for kids and elderly who have trouble climbing too many stairs. Basement bedroom was musty but it was a basement (wouldn't choose to use this part), but there were lots of games, books, foosball, etc. to keep the youngins in check. The beach was beautiful! Warning: beach path is not level, difficult for elderly to access beach but you can drive on the beach down at Grayland Beach public access a couple of miles down 105. Shopping wasn't as bad as expected. You can get essentials at the grocery store in Grayland and the hardware stores carries anything else you forgot. Also there is a drug store in Westport with everything there as well. Must try Bennett's Fish Shack in Westport - excellent food. Also the lady who runs the little expresso hut on 105 just past the grocery store makes excellent cappuccino. Kitchen was decent, pots were roughed up and we bought extra teaspoons for the drawer since there were only 2. Overall, this was a great place for a fun beach get together for the whole family. Thanks for sharing this with us!"
