  • Flashback to the '70s

"This house was a trip back to the '70s. The paneled walls, the vinyl floors, the naugahyde chairs, even the vacuum looked like the '70s. But the price was right, and we found it clean and comfortable. It was close enough to some of the attractions we came to visit in Olympic Park."

  • Can't be beat!

"We had a fantastic time at Kimberly's Lake Cushman Place. This was our second stay, and we invited the whole family. We had 8 adults and 10 kids and had room for everyone. The porta-crib and highchair made bringing the baby easy, and the kids loved the bunk room and pool table, not to mention the creek. The weather was fantastic; the lake (and park) was beautiful and uncrowded; the hike up at staircase was ideal and close. It was pretty near perfect. Sadly there was a burn ban, so we didn't get to use the firepit, but there was enough else to do that we barely missed it. Kimberly has really done a fantastic job anticipating (and fulfilling) any need you might have while there and is great to work with . Thanks again for a fantastic stay. The only bad part was having to leave. We will definitely be back again!"

  • Six days at Eagle's Nest on Lake Cushman

"We had a wonderful family vacation at this property. Staying in a place right on the water adds so much more fun. We had the use of the two kayaks and the paddle boat. The adults and kids alike spent a lot of time paddling around and swimming. The house worked very well for our group. It comfortably sleeps eight with two great bathrooms. The top of the line washer and dryer and kitchen appliances were a great bonus. We made good use of the outdoor grill and the fire pit. A hike through the Staircase area is a lot of fun. And it is very close to the house. The seafood market in Hamma Hamma, which is about 15 miles north of Hoodsport, is a great place to get oysters and fresh and smoked salmon. If you have a fishing license (pricey for non residents) free for kids, you can easily pick oysters from the Hood Canal at low tide. The Shell gas station in Hoodsport and seafood place, can fill you in on the rebulations. Kimberly was very responsive to any questions that came up. Thanks, Kimberly."

  • Great getaway on the Ocean.

"The home is very large and warm. Nice walk to the ocean. We saw a big buck deer in the yard when we arrived! We came to enter our 1957 BelAir Wagon in the Rod Run. It was nice to come back to the home to relax. One thing I would suggest is to put a hair dryer in one of the bathrooms. I have bad knees and I had to kneel on the floor to dry my hair in front of the wall heater. This is the first place I have stayed that did not have one. We took a nice walk to the beach through the pine trees just before sunset. What a beautiful view. This is a great family home to stay at. Dan & Shawn"
