  • Quiet retreat

"Neighborhood was extremely quiet. And a walk down to the water quite invigorating. Even with the airport next door I think only 3 plans landed all week and the noise was hardly noticeable. Surprised there wasn't a teapot to be found but thankful and appreciative of the other stock items the house had on hand for us to use. Only draw back was it was a drive to go anywhere. Sequim proper is at least 15-20 minute drive away. Seems like the town should be Blyn not Sequim."

  • The perfect river cabin to river fish, get away with family & friends or explore the Olympic Pen.

"I have been renting the Cozy Riverhouse II cabin 3-4 times per year to take groups of 6-10 customers at a time steelhead and salmon river fishing. The drive to and approach is beautiful. The cabin sits right on the Sol Duc River in "the zone" of fishing. You can dispatch to fish 4 rivers within minutes of the cabin. The cabin is cozy with a wood burning stove. The covered deck is huge with BBQ & fire pit. Horseshoes outside. 7 people all get own beds, but can sleep more with pull-out couch, sofa and 3 of the beds are queen size. Hike the Olympic National Rain Forest, walk on the ocean beaches, see the Sol Duc Hotsprings. 7 minutes to dine in a Forks or see the town. The most important thing is that the owners take incredible care of you with excellent customer service. Booking on their website is a snap, quick easy emailed PDF invoice, meticulously clean and prepared cabin awaiting you. Contact from the owners to confirm your arrival time and to assist with any special needs, complete privacy during your stay, but immediate assistance if you need anything. Thoughtful owners there to provide 10+customer service. I rate both this cabin (Cozy Riverhouse II) as well as Cozy Riverhouse I which are both owned and operated by the same owner a 10+. Very pleased. You should definitely book and try this cabin to go fishing, hiking, ocean seeing, hunting, relaxing and just enjoying the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula."

  • Perfect Home for the Holidays

"Originally from Quilcene, our family (Me, Husband, and 2 boys aged 7 and 11) moved to Bahrain 21/2 years ago and we return to the area for Summer and Christmas holidays every year. With extended family living in Port Townsend and the surrounding area we needed a home away from home in order to be close. Happy Valley Cottage was a perfect Home for the Holidays over Christmas 2014. Warm, cozy, comfortable, and perfectly located. We had about 20 friends and family over for Christmas brunch and the house had everything we needed to cook for, serve, and entertain the gang. The house is brilliantly layed out, clean, and cute as a button. Chuck met us when we arrived, checked up on us after a wind storm, and we knew he was close by if we needed him but was never intrusive. We cannot gush enough about how happy we were at Happy Valley Cottage!"

  • Awesome family place

"If you've got a large group & want to stay together, this is the place for you! We had 10 people (ages 11-1/2 months to 74) & never felt cramped. Lots of space to eat, play games, watch TV (who has time for that????), etc. Sitting in the hot tub as the sun set -- breathtaking! Kitchen was super well equipped. Clean, spacious -- everything we could wish for."
