"Beautiful house with dune water view and probably easiest beach access on this strip of beach. House very clean and supplied. Would be a five star except for a few bumps in the process and stay. Quite a bit of communication failures prior to booking. Once at the house one of the beds had damage to the frame slats to the mattress- so had to drag mattress on floor to sleep. Notified owner day 1, reply of "we are aware of the issue" came day 3. Agree with previous reviewer: window in master bedroom and in living room which should open have sign saying don't open or we will need to call repairman. All other windows non openable style. So no fresh air for master (all other windows were non opening style) which was a let down. Suggest replacing fixing vs telling tenants won't open. Again- short of these it was remote to neighbors, view awesome, beach great, brought own wood for fireplace - none avail- very lovely property location and relaxing stay. I hope repairs are made to return house to 5 star."

  • awesome!

"Place is great with grill, hottub , sauna , fire pit and fire wood , quick drive into westport for the marina , a 5-10 minute walk to the ocean. Took the crab ring off the wall and caught some crab in the marina when our charter got cancelled.(which is open year round). Pizza and beer across the street is very good and Amee the manager was really accomadating when we rescheduled our fishing for checkout day allowing us to leave our stuff and dog kenneled up until the boat was back in. Way better than staying at any of the motels in town. It was also fully stocked pantry and kitchen including condiments , my only gripe is that there wasnt a really big pot for boiling our crab.(aww) Excellent and will definately be staying again anytime its available when going to Westport."

  • The best of everything!

"Riverside Retreat is a great experience and the best of everything. It started early with the easiest and best reservation process of any VRBO. The location is a perfect place for a jumping off point to anywhere in the OP. The kitchen was outfitted amazingly well, a big deal for our family. The beds were great, it was comfortable for sitting around and visiting, and SUPER clean. I can't imagine a better location when staying in the OP. Only thing that could've been better, more fish"

  • A Wondrous, Secluded, Magical Place!

"My husband and I and our three furry kids traveled from Montana to visit the lovely hideaway. We had and absolutely spectacular time! The area is wonderful...quite, peaceful, and completely beautiful! The rainforest beauty is very different from our gorgeous Montana beauty....we fell in love with it! The hideaway is magnificent and incredibly comfortable. It was perfect! I highly recommend it! We loved the decks and the walkways down to the beach area! The hideaway was decorated beautifully (rustic, and very comfortable)! Martha is wonderful! We truly loved it! It was a long trip for us but we would love to do it again!
