  • Wonderful island home

"We very much enjoyed our week in this home. The view of Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains from the deck was beautiful. We cooked in every night (well stocked kitchen with high-end appliances) and ate our meals outside on the deck. We highly recommend doing your grocery shopping at Central Market in Poulsbo. It's actually fun to go shopping there and the seafood selection is amazing. Try Dungeness crab, it's worth the splurge. The home's comforts are numerous: large flat screen TV, gas fireplace, large closet/dressing area connected to the master bath with beautiful view and super comfortable and plush master bedroom bed. Bainbridge Island is a perfect central location for exploring the area. On the island, we highly recommend visiting Bloedel Reserve, the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum and the Japanese Exclusion Memorial. Wonderful day trips include: Whidbey island, Hurricane Ridge, the Naval Undersea Museum in Keystone and downtown Seattle. If you like jazz, Dimitriou's Jazz Alley books wonderful jazz artists. The owners were responsive and very easy to deal with. We look forward to returning."

  • Wonderful place to stay!

"This unit is a perfect place for a get-away on Bainbridge Island! The unit is extremely clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. There is plenty of space for two people, and the location is ideal. It is easy to walk to the small town close by, and the road is great for biking. We truly enjoyed our week long stay, and the owners were perfectly gracious and kind. I would highly recommend this unit for your next vacation."

  • A Wonderful Time!

"I highly recommend this property as it went above and beyond our expectations. The location is fantastic - quiet, beachfront, 10 min drive to the town, 30 min ferry to Seattle - and the house is gorgeous and well stocked. The got extremely lucky and had gorgeous weather the entire time we were there. We spent most of our time lounging around on the deck, grilling, playing cards, hiking, swimming, pickling blackberries, and shopping in Winslow. If you are looking for a relaxing get away, this is the place. The house was extremely clean and well stocked. The photos were accurate. The owner was easy to work with and a very accommodating. I would definitely consider coming back to this house."

  • A Place to Be Still

"This little home in the woods is even more charming in person. Surrounded by trees, you get the feel that you're miles away from everything-yet, quaint little downtown Winslow is only a few minutes' drive. We made good use of the hot tub and wood-burning stove...This is a lovely spot for a solo getaway, and ideal for a couple looking for quiet and stillness together. We were struck by the level of privacy provided by the woods between the nearby properties. If staying with another person, do be sure you're comfortable in their presence-the cabin does not offer much in the way of privacy (toilet room is basically in the kitchen...such is the life when choosing to stay in a tiny home)! There is not a ton of storage options for clothing-pack lightly. Michelle provides everything you need in the way of kitchen cookery, linens, etc., and the fridge is big enough to store three to four days' worth of groceries. It'd be quite easy to give yourself permission to simply cozy up and never leave the cabin for the duration of your stay. We highly recommend Town & Country for groceries, Jake's Pickup for gourmet "fast food", Blackbird Bakery for scrumptious baked goodies, The Harbour Public House for what may possibly be the best clam chowder we've ever had, and Mora Iced Creamery for dessert (ice cream taken to an entirely new level). Honestly, we didn't have any food on Bainbridge that wasn't rave-worthy. The islanders eat very well. Also, take a drive around the island and just let yourself discover all that is has to offer. There are very different feels to various neighborhoods, and we delightedly stumbled upon several parks and green areas that were not mentioned in any tourists' brochure. We loved, loved, loved this little cabin. It was a beautiful place to spend a few rainy days, just being quiet together and letting nature work its' magic."
