"My husband and I rented this home for 4 nights as a marriage getaway. This place was above awesome! The house is so cute and cozy and the view is amazing. We never even turned on the tv! We sat on the deck and read and listened to music, BBQd, kayaked, and slept in! The bedroom has the same awesome view as the living room.
It was in the mid 90's the first two days we were there and the house does not have air conditioning, but I believe the hot temps are not normal for that area. Also, there are HUGE amounts of jellyfish in the water so beware if you kayak. A little freaky for us.
The rental home though is perfect and we will most definitely rent this place again! One of our favorite getaways. I perfect place for privacy and alone time, great view, great home!"

"My husband and I love the Pacific Northwest. We wanted to visit the Seattle area without actually staying in busy Seattle, and the aptly nicknamed Artist's Studio was perfect. It's an easy little drive to quaint Winslow, with its cute shops and eateries, for catching the ferry to/from Seattle. We also took a day to just drive up and down all over beautifully forested and picturesque Bainbridge Island, and the Artist's Studio was an absolutely excellent base for this as well.
This is indeed an artist's studio in that beautiful local art adorns the cottage apartment, while the owner, an accomplished artist, allows you to view the gorgeous work in her studio. The artistry extends into the owner's lovely and lush garden as well as the restful and relaxing patio. Even the hen house welcomes you with a cute artistic motif...and Javier the rooster and his wives are fun friends to meet. I enjoyed "chatting" with them, and they don't mind you enjoying their fresh eggs for a delicious breakfast. One or two of those hens are artistic as well in that they lay colored eggs!
The owner and her husband are truly wonderful people, and we greatly enjoyed talking with them a couple of times. They were full of great information and helpful hints about the area and also provided us with a completely supplied cottage (linens, towels, soaps, and so on) and also the fresh eggs, milk and 1/2 & 1/2, butter, bread, granola, fresh apples and tomatoes from the garden, and a freshly baked fruit tart as well as various other pantry items. What hospitality! We felt deeply blessed and cared for indeed!
For those with difficulty climbing stairs, this lovely upstairs cottage apartment might be a challenge, but for all others it will be a magnificent delight and a restful getaway retreat. Come one, come all!"

"We spent several days here for our Honeymoon and it was the perfect spot for us. Quiet, secluded, and it has a wonderful view from the front porch. Plenty of hiking and exploration on the island. Only a short trip from Seattle, so easy to explore there as well. We highly recommend this charming little cottage for anyone wanting to get away unplug for a little while, and relax."

"Our family of five stayed in this house for a summer vacation and it could not have been better! We had a wonderful time and the house was perfect! it was clean, cute, and cozy! We took the rowboat out, grilled out, spent evenings in the hot tub, and the stars at night are beautiful! The full kitchen was great and it is a perfect area for morning or evening runs. It is a quiet retreat and a wonderful getaway. The ferry is close and we had a great time taking it into Seattle for more adventures!"
