  • Everthing as described and more!

"My husband and I stayed there June 19th, through June 25th, 2014. When you first walk into the house, you can't help but just stop in your tracks and stare at the most gorgeous view of Seattle! Then your sights turn to the house itself, and it is one of the most beautiful homes I have ever been in. It is decorated so professionally ~ I was taking pictures with my iphone of all the special touches throughout, to get ideas for my own home! The home and outside landscaping is immaculate! It seemed like we were the first ones to ever stay there! The owner could not have been more helpful! He was so pleasant to talk with and very accessible if you had questions about anything. He sent me a manual before we left, which I printed out and took with us, not only telling things about the house that we should know about, but things to do on Bainbridge, recommended restaurants, etc. He was most thorough! I would definitely recommend this property and we hope to stay again!"

  • Bainbridge vacation

"We were looking for a quiet place to unplug for a few days with our 10 year old, and this cottage was ideal! It's absolutely charming, beautifully decorated, with high-end, fully stocked kitchen equipment - even a French press! Easy access to "downtown" Bainbridge, and we walked down to the beach in the morning to watch the Bremerton ferry cruise by. We spent 3 days reading on the porch, bonfires in the evening, exploring the island and sea kayaking during the day. We often found our daughter curled up in the chair in her bedroom reading the new books she bought at the bookstore on Winslow, and she didn't even think about turning on the tv the whole time! She's already plotting a return trip."

  • Lovely Cottage

"We spent three nights at the 'Nest'. Very pleasant cottage in a great location. The bed is really comfy too. Visited the Bloedel Reserve which is great. Winslow is a quaint little town and so easy to hop on the ferry from there as a foot passenger and spend some time in downtown Seattle. The Japanese Memorial is another good place to see. Would definitely stay at the 'Nest' again if we decide to go to Bainbridge Island in the future."

  • Wonderful island home

"We very much enjoyed our week in this home. The view of Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains from the deck was beautiful. We cooked in every night (well stocked kitchen with high-end appliances) and ate our meals outside on the deck. We highly recommend doing your grocery shopping at Central Market in Poulsbo. It's actually fun to go shopping there and the seafood selection is amazing. Try Dungeness crab, it's worth the splurge. The home's comforts are numerous: large flat screen TV, gas fireplace, large closet/dressing area connected to the master bath with beautiful view and super comfortable and plush master bedroom bed. Bainbridge Island is a perfect central location for exploring the area. On the island, we highly recommend visiting Bloedel Reserve, the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum and the Japanese Exclusion Memorial. Wonderful day trips include: Whidbey island, Hurricane Ridge, the Naval Undersea Museum in Keystone and downtown Seattle. If you like jazz, Dimitriou's Jazz Alley books wonderful jazz artists. The owners were responsive and very easy to deal with. We look forward to returning."
