"My husband and I spent 5 nights at this most perfect and gorgeous vacation rental while house hunting. We have probably stayed in a couple of dozen various rentals over the years and this one is one of the premier spots. Both Stella and Len were friendly, lovely and accommodating in every way. It's clear that they truly care that their guests are both comfortable and enjoying themselves. As far as amenities, there is nothing the hosts haven't considered in both furnishings and all those extras that you generally do not get in a rental. Stella has thought of everything and her sense of beauty and style is reflected everywhere in this exquisitely appointed apartment. I contracted a cold/flu while on vacation and Stella was kind enough to immediately deliver to me everything I needed, including Echinacea tea and fresh lemons to get me back on my feet. Between Stella's care and me spending the day in that amazingly cozy bed - I was back to health in no time. Thank you so very much!"

"What a gorgeous studio! We were in Bainbridge for a quick weekend trip for a friend's wedding. The location was perfect with easy access to the rest of the island, and Jean is a warm and welcoming host. She even made us the most delicious breakfast! The garden is beautiful and relaxing and the studio space was very comfortable for the two of us. Lots of nice extras like coffee maker in the room and TV with different options for movies/netflix/etc. Would definitely return! Thanks for such a great stay, Jean!"

"We live just north of Seattle and only had one night to get away.... This was PERFECT! The property is right on the water, with the ferry going back in forth right in front of us, it was magical. Very well appointed cozy mother in law / guest house below the main house. Everything was just as they said it would be. We slipped in and slipped out without ever coming face to face with anyone. I'm sure they are lovely people, but it was very nice not seeing a soul while we were there. We enjoyed walking around town, good restaurants etc. *****"

"My husband and I love the Pacific Northwest. We wanted to visit the Seattle area without actually staying in busy Seattle, and the aptly nicknamed Artist's Studio was perfect. It's an easy little drive to quaint Winslow, with its cute shops and eateries, for catching the ferry to/from Seattle. We also took a day to just drive up and down all over beautifully forested and picturesque Bainbridge Island, and the Artist's Studio was an absolutely excellent base for this as well.
This is indeed an artist's studio in that beautiful local art adorns the cottage apartment, while the owner, an accomplished artist, allows you to view the gorgeous work in her studio. The artistry extends into the owner's lovely and lush garden as well as the restful and relaxing patio. Even the hen house welcomes you with a cute artistic motif...and Javier the rooster and his wives are fun friends to meet. I enjoyed "chatting" with them, and they don't mind you enjoying their fresh eggs for a delicious breakfast. One or two of those hens are artistic as well in that they lay colored eggs!
The owner and her husband are truly wonderful people, and we greatly enjoyed talking with them a couple of times. They were full of great information and helpful hints about the area and also provided us with a completely supplied cottage (linens, towels, soaps, and so on) and also the fresh eggs, milk and 1/2 & 1/2, butter, bread, granola, fresh apples and tomatoes from the garden, and a freshly baked fruit tart as well as various other pantry items. What hospitality! We felt deeply blessed and cared for indeed!
For those with difficulty climbing stairs, this lovely upstairs cottage apartment might be a challenge, but for all others it will be a magnificent delight and a restful getaway retreat. Come one, come all!"
