  • Idyllic Hideaway on the Sound

"This home was the perfect location for my week long stay over the Christmas holiday. I've booked quite a few stays in beautiful places but I have to say that this one topped them all. I'm going to try to not repeat everything others have said but I have to reiterate that this house does indeed have "magical" views. Waking up in the comfortable queen bed in the master suite upstairs, I found myself not wanting to leave the bed, instead reading and sipping coffee in bed, looking out at the still waters of the Sound and across to Bainbridge Island. The owner was incredibly accommodating, bringing a small Christmas tree over, as well as purchasing some cooking utensils and dishes I may need to serve Christmas dinner to my family. Everyone who visited marveled at my find! One note that I didn't see posted and would have been helpful: At low tide, the beach exposes rocks with sharp barnacles, which can tear up dogs' paws when they run. We had a minor first aid emergency with Sophie, my kids' lab, who loves to run and swim, and who injured her paws. Thankfully, the owners had first aid supplies and Sophie was able to enjoy the rest of her stay. I'll be booking this again...perhaps a bit earlier during the holidays to enjoy the boat parade!"

  • Super place to stay

"This condo is one of the best we've ever rented. From the décor, to the nicely equipped kitchen, to the well-stocked supplies, this place is top notch. When we arrived, we found Kleenex in dispensers, plenty of toilet tissue, dish detergent, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, and even Shout for stain removal. Sunrise, when clear, is an awesome event! Bedding is beautiful and very comfortable. Plenty of room for the three of us, and even enough space to entertain our extended family. The living space comfortably fit 7 adults and two small children for "Game Day." My only issue was the noise from busy Route 3, however, the noise does not prevent a quiet night's sleep. I would definitely rent this place again. Thank you, Rosanne."

  • large family

"our stay at the Oyster bay house was a great experience1 we arrived around 6 pm, so it was already dark outside making a little difficult to find but found it. th house is well equipped to handle large families, with two kitchens that were well stocked with everything you need. The upper deck has a beautiful view of the bay and has an awesome bbq, hard piped in for all the cooking you want to do. The upstairs living room is warm and comfortable with a 60" flat screen and fireplace to enjoy. The business center overlooks the bay through large windows. The downstairs area was also enjoyable with flat screen TV and Jacuzzi to enjoy. The beds were comfortable, with no complaints from any of the family members. although it rained most of the time we were there, overall it was still an enjoyable place to rent and would do it again."

  • Quiet, quaint getaway

"The property was just as advertised. Photos and descriptions were accurate. Everything we needed was supplied, just needed to show up with food and our toiletries. It was a cozy cabin, right on the water and so quiet. Its not sparkly as and new, but its character makes up for it. It would have been nice to have a door the bedroom closest to the water, but we made do without. The owner promptly answered any questions and was available during the stay, without being at all intrusive. The cabin felt secluded, but it is actually very close to shopping and other amenities. Kids enjoyed beachcombing during low tide and we made a day trip to Seattle by walking onto the ferry. We would definitely recommend and return!"
