  • Amazing Family Friendly Waterfront Home

"This house was more than we expected. It is very well taken care of, well stocked, laid out wonderfully and the owners are amazing. We had a malfunction with the dishwasher and the owner was on site within an hour and fixed it for us. We put 10 people in this home, 3 kids in the perfectly appointed kid's bedroom, two couples, two single adults, and a toddler in a very large walk in closet that was the only room we could make dark enough for her to nap in her pack-and-play. The two living spaces are great, one is accessed only via two bedrooms. Would be a great area for teenagers that may stay up later or to keep them out of if the people sleeping in the rooms want to rest! Kayaks are easy to use. Toddler loved the tricycle. Beach access was safe for the toddler with the barrier and lots of supervision. Downstairs bathroom has door to go outside which is great for kids playing outside or on the beach/in the hot tub to come in and shower without traipsing through the house. Close to nearby stores. For 4 nights we hardly needed to leave because we had so much built in entertainment. We're already considering using this home again next year!"

  • pretty and peaceful

"We stayed here with our friend and our 20-year-old son and 20-year-old nephew. It was very peaceful and pretty. The master suite was lovely, and there were two decks (one off the master). There are downstairs neighbors, so that should be considered. We hope we didn't keep them up with our laughing. we had a great time."

  • A Fantastic Journey to the Pacific Northwest

"Call me Ishmael. On the arrival of June or July of each year, at the beginning of those 100 days or so of Hades in my home port of Charleston, I long for the cool breezes, clear waters, and tasty victuals of the Pacific Northwest. This summer, my aged aunt and I sallied forth to same, having in our packs comfort wear and light windbreakers. On arrival, we found our berths to be quite spacious and comfortable; and consistent with the age of the ship, the quarters were immaculate and served our purposes perfectly. On that first daybreak, we spied a great, dormant volcano to the Southeast. The water was a tranquil crystalline azure. A few other sailing vessels were on the horizon, following the incoming tide along the coast of adjacent Great Whidbey Island. The water was bracing, and nary another swimmer was seen. One of the locals later explained that the water is considered intemperate by most, but since I have suffer from chronic Dunlop's Malady, as well as having Welsh blood in my veins, I found swimming in the sea most bracing and invigorating. We spent much time on deck playing card games for small wager; and after a week at sea we were tied at that portent of good fortune: 7 matches apiece. At Even Time, we followed the course of the setting sun across the hills of Whidbey Island. We also could spy in the distance the Great Olympic Range, befitting in majesty its name. Meals were prepared in a very spacious and ample galley. The ship was also equipped with a strange, black rectangular object that was perhaps some flotsam or jetsam from an unfortuanate earlier venture. This dark curiosity was not further investigated during our week long voyage. Alas, and all too soon, we arrived back in port and returned to Oppressive Carolina where the heat and ague and miasma continue unabated."

  • Excellent House for Reunion

"We had a college reunion in July. We rented 4 beach houses. This is the one hosting 12 people from Canada, California and New York. Everyone says that this house is a great set up. The house is well maintained and is very clean. It has a nice kitchen with all the equipment needed, though we did not do much meal cooking. We did enjoyed socializing with friends inside and outside of the house. Some of us have not seen each other for more than 30 years. It's a great place to sit down and shared with each other our stories no matter you sit inside the living room or on the patio facing the gorgeous beach front. We definitely love this house. The owner, Cathy is a very kind and generous person to work with. She gave us detailed information about the island activities. She won't charge tax on the rental and returns cleaning deposit fee when we keep the house clean and did cleaning before leaving. It is really an excellent beach house for a small group of reunion. We would like to come back in the future. We have recommended this house to our friends who plan their trips to Camano Island."
