"My wife and 2 year old son and I stayed for a week and loved it. It was so peaceful. The tides coming and going and back country roads with the windows were wonderful. They set up all the gates for our little guy and it made it really easy and he loved playing with all the trucks and pre-stocked toys. Big bonus for parents. We only ate out one night and cooked there most nights and they had everything needed down to a blender for the homemade salmon chowder we made. My only suggestion would be a humidifier. We ended buying one as the heat really can dry out the space. Freeland is a quick drive away. We felt secluded but close enough to Freeland and there's a great back road to Langley. The shopping centers have all that you need and there's a good playground down in Freeland. See you again soon."

"This was a fantastic experience renting this beautiful home!! It was extremely spacious and very warm and inviting! My family and I loved it tremendously! We really enjoyed staying on Vashon Island! I'm pretty sure we will stay again! My brother lives in Seattle so I hope to return here again!"

"Better than expected- setting was absolutely gorgeous. river and it's sounds...the cabin had other dwellings nearby, but once inside, completely private setting. everything was oriented to the river.
spotless. well-equipped kitchen. smallish tv w/good selection of dvds but no cable. patchy cell service but good wi-fi. no HDMI on TV, which would have been nice for streaming.
tastefully decorated.vintage logging photos very interesting.
the bed, mentioned in other reviews as well...it was reasonably comfortable, the setting and skylight incredible. blood moon during our stay. but SQUEAKY!! each and every position change, even rolling over a a midnight sneeze!!! got the giggles, felt pretty young at heart.
Mountain Loop hiway beautiful drive. interesting, readily accessible hikes.
town of Granite Falls had some OK dining, but not really needed with such a great kitchen and setting."
