  • Lovely stay at a farm house.

"We loved these two nights at #hagenfarm and felt at home. It was raining, so we enjoyed the fire stove inside. The house has a very comforting feel and made us feel very relaxed. It's neat and very comfortable, we slept great and loved hearing the quiet animal sounds coming from a distance while waking up in the morning. Barbara was very kind and also did a tour of the farm for us, our son loved it - we got to see the cows and young calfs, sheep and the curious pigs. We will look forward to coming back in the fall!"

  • A beautiful home

"My family of 7 (ages 7 to 74) spent a week in this lovely home. For years we've rented a home twice a year to vacation together. We've thoroughly enjoyed the experience and have never even been tempted to rent the same home twice - until now. This home is amazing and we'd all love to come back for another week. It's well designed, beautifully decorated, has lovely landscaping and is in a perfect location - near excellent hiking trails and restaurants. We spent many relaxed, happy evenings on the lovely deck that overlooks the gurgling river - chatting and listening to the big variety of birds."

  • Girls's Getaway

"We rented this place for a Girls' Weekend Getaway. It was lovely! Very comfortable, well-lit, beautiful view of the water & the mountains lit up with a beautiful sunrise. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant below the apartment: The Front Street Grill, walking Main Street and driving around the town to look at the Victorian homes. If you have a car, go visit the Sunnyside Cemetery. Beautiful view of the shoreline and farm land. Owners were easy to work with and the Front Street Grill staff were very pleasant and polite. We ate supper there and ordered our dessert "to go". They wrapped it up on the plate so we could take it upstairs with us. The negatives were minimal: 1. that you could hear the happenings next door coming from the restaurant's office/storage room. This did not go on all night or even late into the evenimg but is noteworthy for awareness sake. 2. No access to washer/dryer as advertised- didn't need it but if it's advertised it needs to be available. We would reserve this again and I'd bring my husband and teens."

  • Peace And Quiet!!

"This was our first trip to Vashon Island so our smart phones came in handy finding this hidden gem. We enjoyed the solitude and never saw any neighbors. The house had all the amenities we could need and then some. Our trip to Vashon was mainly to visit family so we all got together at their houses. We would've liked to have had them over to see the rental property but the parking issue prevented it. There's only one small parking spot as far as we could tell. It only took a day to figure out where things are on the island and to find our way around. While there we enjoyed browsing through the shops and galleries and sampling some great coffees and baked goods. We also dined at The Hardware Store on three occasions for three diffeerent meals and thoroughly enjoyed them all. It was great having laundry facilities, large flat screen tv, and a nice recliner on the lower level but accessing the lower level was a minor challenge for someone with physical issues, ie bad knees and hips because of the tight spiral staircase. One can go out the door and around the house to get downstairs. All in all we really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, the bed was good, and the view was great!"
