  • Best. Christmas. Ever.

"My boyfriend and I rent cabins for us and our two dogs regularly, and this one is now one of our favorites! It was a beautiful place to spend Christmas. We cooked several meals in the fully equipped kitchen and spent many relaxing hours in front of the fire. The hot tub was wonderful after long days of boarding and snowshoeing. The owners were very responsive and friendly. You will not regret your stay here. Was bummed to come home!"

  • loved loved this house!

"We stayed here the week of Thanksgiving and it was a perfect home base for a week. Our son and his girlfriend joined us for the week and this house was perfect. We made Thanksgiving dinner and had everything we needed to cook a wonderful dinner. The beds were very comfy and having an extra queen bed in the master was perfect for our 3 year old. We loved driving around the island and seeing the beautiful island and surrounding area. Do make sure you check the ferry schedule we had one issue as they take reservations for Coupville/Portownsend and was unable to get on 2 ferrys in one outing so we got a refund and went into town where I found some wonderful gifts, so for us still ended up having a wonderful day! The owner responds very quickly and was always nice to deal with."

  • Peace And Quiet!!

"This was our first trip to Vashon Island so our smart phones came in handy finding this hidden gem. We enjoyed the solitude and never saw any neighbors. The house had all the amenities we could need and then some. Our trip to Vashon was mainly to visit family so we all got together at their houses. We would've liked to have had them over to see the rental property but the parking issue prevented it. There's only one small parking spot as far as we could tell. It only took a day to figure out where things are on the island and to find our way around. While there we enjoyed browsing through the shops and galleries and sampling some great coffees and baked goods. We also dined at The Hardware Store on three occasions for three diffeerent meals and thoroughly enjoyed them all. It was great having laundry facilities, large flat screen tv, and a nice recliner on the lower level but accessing the lower level was a minor challenge for someone with physical issues, ie bad knees and hips because of the tight spiral staircase. One can go out the door and around the house to get downstairs. All in all we really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, the bed was good, and the view was great!"

  • A remarkable place

"We stayed here to connect with family over the holidays. We all enjoyed the view to such an extent that we regularly found ourselves standing in the middle of the living room transfixed. (also dining room, kitchen, esp bedroom, but in this case lying down, the panoramic windows are literally wrapping around bed, so you just lye back and watch the beauty, its an experience just waking up!) Also found ourselves with one of the many pairs of binoculors spotting downtown Seattle, spotting eagles, spotting Mt Ranier, just astoundingly beautiful, profound, meditative. Not to mention we were so very comfortable. The whole house is like 5 star hotel. We cooked and played games, slept late, cozied in front of fire, had a new years eve fire pit party, and were totally spoiled. They really thought of everything and we hope to return. Also was great to meet Katherine she was so caring, made transactions easy, and provided great directions and sightseeing insight."
