  • Sparkles on Whidbey Island

"Marc and I only had 6 days off. Neither of us had been on vacation in years. We needed an escape, and not too far away. Being from the Fraser Valley in Canada, we wanted a location close enough to rescue a distress call from our children, but feel like we were a world away. Whidbey came with high recommendations. We wanted a bit of everything, so we camped for 3 nights, and then wanted to finish our trip off with a hot tub, and some privacy. Mark the cabin owner was awesome, in contact right when it was ready, allowed us to rent for only 2 nights (in hindsight.... I would have skipped the camping). On the fourth day of our trip we moved to the cabin, we soaked our weary campfire bones into that hot tub at the cabin, and watched the sunset. We woke early, and soaked again, we watched the HUGE ships on the harbour, and spent our days on the beach, we napped... we toured the downtown, and kept contact with our kids via wifi. The cabin was so homey, like you had just spent last christmas there with all your cousins, games in the cupboard, and the can opener just were you expected it. We bbq'd, and drank wine on the deck. Our last day was beautiful, day at the beach, dinner overlooking the ocean,... and before the sun went down we climbed back into the hot tub, overlooked the great horizon, and I said "yes" to a wonderful man, and the most beautiful diamond ring I've ever seen. There was nothing we would change about the cabin, it was very affordable, ultimate view, very private, very clean, and the owners were a call away, and yet we've never met. Even after we left our 2nd set of keys behind, they were kind enough to mail them to us and keep in contact until they arrived. We will rent this cabin again, and we will bring our grown, and one teenage child to venture the great Whidbey Island with us. I recommend these owners, and their beautiful cabin for your family, In all of B.C. and beyond, I have never been anywhere more peaceful, and for us more memorable."

  • Eagles Landing was the perfect escape!

"My significant other and I were looking for a secluded, relaxing, peaceful place to celebrate our anniversary and both our birthdays. We are both from the PNW and did not want to travel far. For us it was a short drive and ferry ride. This was the perfect place, set far back in the woods in the most beautiful location. From the story of how Eagles Landing came to be, the hard work and love that two best friends put into this place, it was just incredible. Neither of us wanted to go home. It didn't matter if it rained or shined. Hearing the rain hitting the roof while having the fireplace stoked was exactly what we were looking for. I personally loved the bathroom and the old claw tub. There are no curtains or blinds, really they are not needed. While soaking in the tub you can watch the birds fly from tree to tree. Everything listed in the description was very true but to see it in person is even better. The owner was most helpful and we visited a few of the recommended cafe's etc. I cannot wait to go back. We were looking up dates before we even left."

  • Everthing as described and more!

"My husband and I stayed there June 19th, through June 25th, 2014. When you first walk into the house, you can't help but just stop in your tracks and stare at the most gorgeous view of Seattle! Then your sights turn to the house itself, and it is one of the most beautiful homes I have ever been in. It is decorated so professionally ~ I was taking pictures with my iphone of all the special touches throughout, to get ideas for my own home! The home and outside landscaping is immaculate! It seemed like we were the first ones to ever stay there! The owner could not have been more helpful! He was so pleasant to talk with and very accessible if you had questions about anything. He sent me a manual before we left, which I printed out and took with us, not only telling things about the house that we should know about, but things to do on Bainbridge, recommended restaurants, etc. He was most thorough! I would definitely recommend this property and we hope to stay again!"

  • Enjoyable

"We spent 1 week in 2013 in this lovely home, loved it so much, just spent 2 weeks there and hated to leave. Thinking about a month in 2015. Fun sitting in the sunroom watching the ferries, snow capped mountains and Puget Sound activity. Super location with many restaurants close by, however, preparing meals in the well equipped kitchen is painless. This home is a great home away from home!"
