"We had childhood friend came from Texas and California, looking for a good location that they can visit the beautiful Northwest and some light beach activities. We had 10 members of our group and there was so much room we could just choose where we wanted to sleep each night! The house is absolutely SPOTLESS clean and really comfy. The kitchen is gourmet and was a pleasure to cook, we have 5 "love to cook" women in our group and they all love to spent time together in the kitchen. The TV room downstairs housed the amateur "choir" and allowed separation for those in the kitchen and those involved in chit chat and sports. There are two other spacious area that we didn't use! We spent two amazing nights.
The view is truly indescribable. The owners were INCREDIBLY gracious and helpful. At every point we called them they answered immediately. I can't imagine a more helpful family. We didn't catch any crab but found plenty clams and oysters. It was memorial trip for my friends from Texas and California who never been to a view house before."

"This was our families second time staying at The Milky Way Farm and we hope it is not our last. Once again, we were there as an extended family group. We love everything about being at the farm. The spacious, beautiful living quarters inside and out, the garden full of produce, picnic table in the apple tree grove to eat meals under. Too much to list. Very well equipped country kitchen with farm fresh eggs, milk, and bread upon your arrival. The authenticity of this farm is matched by the owners. You'll wish you could move next door and never leave this special place and people."

"Our stay at the Heron House (family of four, kids aged 13 and 10) was absolutely phenomenal! My husband and I thought the kids (and he) would really enjoy fishing and crabbing off the pier, but what we didn't expect was that within 15 minutes of our arrival, both kids would be down on the pier with hooks in the water, not to be heard from for hours. We ate seafood every night! At the same time, we could keep an eye on them from the house because of the big windows facing the water. This is pretty-much how we spent our four-day vacation in Hansville, except for one gloriously stormy afternoon when we drove into town for groceries and burgers. It was incredibly relaxing for all four of us - a wonderful chance to really rest, catch up on reading, and spend time together outdoors and away from computers and televisions.
Our hosts, Lynn and Steve, were also just wonderful. They managed the perfect balance of being friendly and accessible, and allowing us plenty of privacy and space to do our own thing. The house itself was clean and carefully maintained, with just about everything we could possibly need except for groceries. It isn't a large house, but we found it to be the perfect size and configuration. It is cozy without feeling small; it has a good-sized central communal space (kitchen/living room area) with lots of lights and views, plus a private master suite with a very nice, updated bathroom, and an upstairs loft with plenty of room, beds and a sofa for kid lounging.
We loved it!! We hope to come back again in the future. It was one of our best family vacations ever."
