  • Lovely house- great for kids!

"Our family of four (two adults, two kiddos under 5) stayed for a 4-day weekend in January. The house was lovely. Notes: - If you have a young kiddo who needs all dark, the walk-in close in the master is perfect - you could just put a pack and play or mat in there and be set). - The rest of the house has minimal (almost no) window coverings so a few years ago that would've been hard for us with two kids napping. However, the "bunk room" has two bunks (sleeps 4) and the bottom bunks have little curtains around the beds to block some light- my boys loved that (not for the light but for the fun) :) . - The kitchen was wonderful - very open and well stocked. Huge walk-in pantry. - Gas fireplaces both downstairs in living and upstairs in master. - The views are terrific! I did many puzzles sitting at the table watching the water and wildlife. Peaceful. - High tide water comes right to deck and low tide gives plenty of beach to explore. Boys loved finding treasures that had watched up on the beach- lifting rocks to see the crabs underneath. My 5-year-old loved watching the seagulls diving for food. (if you have them, bring binoculars- we forgot ours) - We didn't even use the "queen suite". It is an entirely different building (roof line connects, but separate entrance and you walk across covered deck to get to main house. We peeked inside and it would be PERFECT for grandparents or anyone that may just want to be able to get away for privacy. - Since we had two little boys with plenty of energy, we did a short outing each day- one day to Belfair State Park to explore and the other to the Belfair wetlands (back to Belfair, then just a mile from the stores there). Both were fun and just great way to stretch legs and get change of scenery. Note it is at least a 20 min drive to Belfair, so factor that in. Can't walk to anything but that was okay for us! - Boys LOVED the huge soaker tub. It was like a mini pool for them. :) - Easy to child-proof - just put a few breakable decor items to put up/away and we were set. - Last note - the Property Management was terrific. Super easy to book (we we did it last minute and turnaround was great). Very friendly and available when I had one question upon arrival. Checkout and refund was timely. All around great experience!"

  • Perfect in every way!

"We had a lovely stay at the wonderful house. The location is simply amazing, and you feel like you're on a ship at high tide with views of the Olympic mountains. We shucked oysters on the beach every day, and our son loved playing with the Lincoln logs and reading Beatrix Potter. The house is super well stocked with books, movies, and games. The master suite is such a retreat--don't miss it. This is definitely one of our favorite rentals of all time, and we can't wait to come back."

  • Hood Canal at its best!

"We planned to stay at Sky's landing after the holiday to just relax. We chose a perfect location for that! The house is beautiful yet very cozy. The outdoor space is phenomenal, even in the cold weather. Everything you could possibly need to prepare a meal is already there and everything from the cookware to the towels are in A+ condition. This home is very well cared for and exceptionally clean. We really appreciated the fact that we could bring our small dogs with us. We have rented several properties that claim to be pet friendly only to arrive and have it not very "friendly" at all. The owners were quick to respond and very pleasant to work with. Hopefully we will be able to return again this summer. 's"

  • Wonderful time at Gladwin Beach House!

"We were delighted with our stay at the Gladwin House. Lance met us there and made sure we had access to everything and knew how to work things. That was very helpful and it was really nice to meet the owner of this lovely home. We enjoyed using the kayaks, the jacuzzi was especially nice. What a wonderful view we had sitting on the deck in the jacuzzi! We were amazed by how many bald eagle we saw just while sitting on the front deck. When the tide is low the Eagles come and sit high in the trees and swoop down to the tidelands. What a treat! Everything about the house was perfect for our trip with our son and his wife. Ai Ling and Lance even made sure we had cable so we could watch the World Cup soccer matches while we were there. Thanks for everything, we hope to return!!"
