  • Wonderful time at Gladwin Beach House!

"We were delighted with our stay at the Gladwin House. Lance met us there and made sure we had access to everything and knew how to work things. That was very helpful and it was really nice to meet the owner of this lovely home. We enjoyed using the kayaks, the jacuzzi was especially nice. What a wonderful view we had sitting on the deck in the jacuzzi! We were amazed by how many bald eagle we saw just while sitting on the front deck. When the tide is low the Eagles come and sit high in the trees and swoop down to the tidelands. What a treat! Everything about the house was perfect for our trip with our son and his wife. Ai Ling and Lance even made sure we had cable so we could watch the World Cup soccer matches while we were there. Thanks for everything, we hope to return!!"

  • Great House!

"Like the previous reviewer, I was able to make a last minute reservation for a 7 night stay over the thanksgiving week. We had family coming into town for my grandmother's memorial service. This place was wonderful. We were able to sleep four families, one to each room. The kitchen was huge and full of amenities that made it easy for us to have the rest of the family over for food and fellowship. There were enough dishes to cook, serve, and plate thanksgiving dinner for probably 25 people (we had 13). It was very cold, but we still made it across the street to explore the beach and the waterman pier. There were lots of games, toys for the kids, and a ping pong table. This House is very charming and set up really well so all could gather to play games, sit by the fire, watch a movie, or just visit. I would definitely recommend it, and I would stay again in the future!"

  • Awesome Get Away and Great Location with Spectacular Views

"Great location right near the Coupeville/Port Townsend Ferry & Fort Casey (which has real cannons, lighthouse & a fort - will need Discovery Pass). Also, 10 minutes away from Coupeville which was a small, cute town that was all decked out for Halloween. They had a great farmers market on Saturday & the coffee shop (Locally Grown Espresso) which was right on the dock - Great coffee! The house was very spacious with great views of the water. Xbox, Wii, Streaming Netfix & DirecTV all worked great. Love the open kitchen & living room. 2 indoor Jacuzzi tubs worked awesome & loved the fire pit on the beach for S'mores. Gathered free wood right from the beach & made an awesome fire. Beds were great & lots of room for people to just relax. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay on Whidbey Island. Tom (the owner) was awesome to work with. Super easy process. If you are able to rent this location, you will be very pleased."

  • Wonderful condo and location!

"My family came from Japan for their first time ever to the Pacific Northwest. They were absolutely floored when I opened the door to where they would be staying. Everything was so beautiful and clean. From the front door, your gaze is met by Lake Washington and the green trees of Marsh Park through the wall of windows spanning from the kitchen through the living room. The balcony off the kitchen allows for amazing views and the condo is beautifully appointed. The kitchen is huge and well-stocked with plenty of room to enjoy a great meal. These owners have thought of everything! My family kept telling me how comfortable the beds were and how luxurious the bedding felt. The two bathrooms made showering and getting ready for the day a breeze and there was plenty of space for them to spread out and relax in the living room. The condo is located on the top floor of a small building and felt very safe and quiet. Ed was very friendly and responsive to all of my questions and inquiries and made the self check-in/check-out procedure very easy. His instructions and tips were great and the included parking space was extremely helpful to have in the popular downtown Kirkland area. The location was within perfect walking distance between downtown Kirkland and Carillon Point, allowing my family to walk to nearby shops and restaurants and enjoy the grounds of the Woodmark Hotel. Their week long stay was absolutely perfect and it could only have been better if they could have stayed longer!!! I would recommend this condo to anyone considering a stay in the Seattle area. You won't be disappointed!"
