  • Nice getaway home!

"This cottage like home is in the perfect location for anyone wanting to get away from the city. We had a family reunion here and we all had a blast. The back yard view is just simply breath taking. Pros We caught oysters, clams and mussels on the bay down the stairway at the back of the home. We used the outdoor grill to charbroil the oysters and it was delicious. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots, pans, coffee machine, spices, dishes, dish washer etc etc. Also, the home was equipped with a washer and dryer, games for little ones and outdoor games such as volleyball and badminton. The guest house is small and cute w/ 1 bed and 1 pull out sofa, also has it's own bathroom and a small/narrow stand up shower. Cons We had a large group and this home was a bit small for us. There is only 1 private bedroom on the first floor in the main house. The upstairs has 2 beds separated by a small closet, which has an opening to the first floor. The wifi is very slow. Overall, we had a great time making memories at this home."

  • July 4th weekend stay

"My family and I had stayed at the Kingston House over July 4th weekend and had a wonderful time. The house is beyond stunning and the property breathtaking. My daughter and her friend, and our Aussie, had a fabulous time exploring the grounds and spent hours outside the lush, well-maintained, and vast property playing frisbee, catch, and other games. The house had all one would want for a stress free family vacation. It was clean, beautifully decorated, completely stocked, had luxurious amenities, and was quiet and serene. We explored nearby Kingston Waterfront park for the farmers market and July 4th parade. We also drove to nearby downtown Poulsbo which is a very charming town with nice galleries and restaurants. We bought a painting and had a nice dinner. We were also excited to return to the home and relax as it was so peaceful. We built a fire and sat around the fire late into the evening. The owner/manager is extremely nice and accommodating. She offered ideas and suggestions for things to do and was very accessible for anything we needed. Communication was great and instructions were easy to follow and understand. We have previously stayed at another of the owner's property on Bainbridge Island and were just as satisfied and pleased. I would not hesitate to stay at her properties again in the future and will likely do so!!!!"

  • Home away from home!!

"My husband & I stayed @ this very lovely vrbo. We enjoyed every moment of our 1 mo. & 14 days vacation. Every thing that described the home was true to form. Gourmet/chef's delight! Every thing a gourmet chef would need was in the kitchen. Nothing missing. Beds were comfortable, and very clean, & sanitary. Walked to the beach and watched the ferry, great sunset and Mt. Rainier was a great sight to behold. Garden was a free flowing English type. My own secret garden--hummingbirds, varieties of finches and butterflies. The herb garden was an excellent source to infuse my tea w/lemon verbena. My husband recuperated speedily from a very delicate eye surgery w/the environment this lovely home gave us. The Host/Hostess were very attentive and hospitable to our every needs. Made the place something we could call Home. It met all the needs of the creature comfort of our home. Will come back and spend the whole summer here. As described, walking distance to the ferry, park, restaurants and gourmet ice cream parlors. The Saturday farmer's market was an excellent source of organic veggies & fruits. It is also a great jumping -off point for exploring the Puget/Olympic Peninsula. This place Tops it All! Becky & Jim"

  • Wonderful Holiday Get Away

"We had our extended family stay here during the holidays and it was a perfect get away for everyone. Absolutely peaceful to sit and watch the ferry on Christmas eve and Christmas. The owner was extremely attentive to the needs of our family and provided more than enough supplies and service to make it a care free stay. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone considering making this a vacation stop."
