  • Whidbey Island piece of peace

"We were fortunate to be able to rent this house for four nights in August, 2014. The house is lovely, clean, hospitable, every appliance works well. There is a well stocked kitchen and room to accommodate a family of various ages. Our family ranged in age from 21 to 90 and there were activities to meet those disparate interests. There is hiking, swimming, kayaking, biking, star gazing by the fire pit, as well as great food and shopping in nearby Coupeville, We picked the copious and delicious blackberries along the roads. The owners are very thorough in imparting helpful information about the house and its workings as well as what to see and do in the surrounding area. Lovely, we hope to be able to return."

  • Girls Get-A-Way Weekend in late October

"Five friends and I stayed here last weekend for a gals get-a-way weekend. The pictures do not do it justice! The home is lovely, very spacious, generously equipped with just about everything you need but food. And the view of the lagoon and early morning horizon over the sound was out of this world. The hot tub was great, the location perfect for solitude if you wish or lots of activity if you wish as well. Right down the road from Captain Whidbey Inn and very close to Eby State Park. Cannot say enough about this place. It also has a ramp for people with walkers or wheelchairs and the master bath has a walk in shower as well for people with disabilities or issues with their legs. The only minor issue we had is that there are several, and I mean several light switches and since they aren't marked, you have to play around a lot to find out what switch is for what. Overall, pretty small potatoes for a fabulously beautiful place! Thank you Betty for everything!"

  • Oyster Bay home

"Our children and grandchildren came up from Minnesota, for my husbands retirement ceremony from the Navy, So we needed a place that we could be able to get them all together and where they could also enjoy some of Washington's, Beautiful sights.... the first day they went to the zoo, then on Friday we all got together for the ceremony in Bangor, than back to the house for a bar-b-que and to enjoy the house and its amenities, Saturday we all celebrated my youngest grandson's 1st birthday and again we bar-b-qued. Sunday we said our goodbyes and everyone went separate ways, on the way out of Washington we all took the ferry into Seattle and some of us went to the space needle others went sightseeing, but we all agreed having the home centrally located gave us all the opportunity to do things we all wanted to do. Thank you so much for opening your home so that other families could have opportunities like this."

  • Old World Charm!

"Our family spent Thanksgiving weekend at the house and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is so unique and charming. We loved the huge fireplace and the coziness of the place, and it had everything we needed in the kitchen. The location is great, too. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat."
