  • So peaceful, so wonderful

"Don’t you love when something is even better than the pictures suggest? Well, that’s definitely the case here (and that’s saying something – this cabin is beautifully photographed!). I felt more relaxed as soon as I walked in the front door. Great, stylish cabin with everything you need to relax and enjoy your time indoors. And we did. We used the rain as an excuse to stay in, watching movies, enjoying the river-view deck, making use of the nice kitchen. (Plates, glasses, cookware, etc provided but bring your own olive oil, etc!) Looking forward to booking another weekend when we can maybe have some sun and just chill on the deck and listen to the river for most of the day. Seriously heavenly, whether you want to laze around the cabin or go out and take advantage of all the nearby hiking trails."

  • Fabulous 50th birthday/girls weekend

"My husband surprised me for my 50th birthday and booked this amazing house for my girlfriends and I to enjoy my birthday weekend. We were surprised all right! The home was amazing with amazing views and on the most incredible beach on Vashon Island. The accommodations were very comfortable and the master bedroom was unbelievable. An exercise or yoga room in the master bedroom was perfect as well. We enjoyed cooking in the well-appointed kitchen and even grilling our Alaskan King crabs on the BBQ. My friends surprised me by having a local chef come in Saturday night to prepare an amazing 6-course meal using local ingredients. At this point I felt as if I was in heaven! The location, the house, the beach, the amazing meals, we even watched two eagles soar around the property. The owner, Nancy Carlsen, was delightful to work with and easy to communicate with. They have put a lot of love, thought and detail into their incredible home. I would stay there again and I would encourage anyone looking for the perfect home on Vashon Island to consider this one of a kind property, you will not be disappointed."

  • Great little escape!

"We planned an impromptu trip away with a couple of friends. It was a perfect little cottage with a spectacular view on one of my all time favorite beaches. We thought the cottage was actually cuter than pictured and totally plan to come back as often as we can. It had everything we needed! And it's wonderful that we could bring our dogs who just absolutely ran their little hearts out on at low tide. It's notable that the house is completely wheelchair accessible. The owners were super nice and accommodating. Can't wait to come back!"

  • Incredible stay

"We were 7 guests (3 couples, and a last minute dad-in-town addition). The house was incredible! The photos honestly do not do it justice - it was spacious, had a well-appointed kitchen, and a little den nook with doors that would close, so we let dad blow up an air mattress in there for the night and find some privacy. The hot tub was a treat, as was the rowboat. The owners were extremely responsive, open to our last-minute changes, and accommodating of our labradoodles. All in all, a wonderful weekend and we plan to stay here again."
