"We spent three cold and rainy nights at this lovely little cabin with our two young children. The location can't be beat: beautiful waterfront view looking across to Port Townsend right outside the main living room window. We had a hard time finding a house with a waterfront hot tub at a reasonable rate and this one was perfect. The home was very well stocked, with charming decor, and had a homey feel so I didn't worry about my kids damaging anything. There's plenty of magazines, games, toys, books to keep you busy. I felt daunted by reports of 89 (?) steps down to the beach, but it was actually pretty easy for the kids and it really only took a couple minutes to get down. We were really looking forward to playing upstairs in the loft, but I felt there were too many falling hazards to leave my kids(ages 3 and 5) unattended up there, which was a slight disappointment. We mostly kept the area closed off unless one of us was willing to go upstairs and play with them. Looking forward to spending a summer weekend here so we can take more advantage of the deck and beach."

"The house was perfect for the 8 of us (4 adults/4 kids). We particularly liked being able to walk into town for breakfast and shopping. It was one of the cleanest houses we have rented, which was great. Very nicely decorated but not fussy. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no public transportation on the island on Sundays (and no taxi/Uber service). Luckily, one of the of the many kind and friendly Vashon residents we met in town gave us a ride back to the ferry. Thanks for a great stay, Gay!"

"We had a retreat at Wallace Falls, which included close to thirty people at various points throughout the weekend. Mary and Tim were incredibly accommodating and generous throughout the planning process and the weekend itself. They cooked us beautiful foods and worked within the food limitations of the group. They gave generous portions and were warm and welcoming. The property itself is beautiful with multiple shared spaces and plenty of privacy. We especially enjoyed being able to walk straight from the lodge up to Wallace Falls, a beautiful hike and then come back and sit in the hot tub. It's a great spot and we would definitely recommend it."

"Spent a very enjoyable long weekend at the cabin. It's so close to the big cities, yet it's quiet and relaxing. Hard to say what we enjoyed the most, watching the whales right out front, fisherman pulling in nice salmon, a storm blowing in from the south, lightening over the Sound. We set a couple of crab pots and had a wonderful crab dinner our second night. Cabin is very clean, well stocked, easy kitchen to cook in and had the added comfort of a washer and dryer. The outside shower kept all of our gear washed off and was great for warming the hands after fishing for a few hours. Easy walk to the Lighthouse for great evening views! Met a lot of nice neighbors walking by, very friendly place! Owners were extremely responsive and gracious. We have stayed in VRBO's all over the US, this ranks right at the top. Grocery store for supplies very close, short drive to shopping in Poulsbo. Already trying to decide when we can come back. Will bring my kayak next time for a paddle around the fairly well protected bay."
