  • cabin on hood canal

"The cabin was perfect for our visit with our family. The owners did a great job furnishing the cabin. The beds were very comfy, the place was very clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend it to others."

  • Relaxing Family Vacation

"Spending a week here was one of the most relaxingvacation's ever with our kids and grand-kid's.Loved the setting...one of the most beautiful locations overlooking the Puget Sound. We had perfect weather which was conducive to meals outside on the sun-deck prepared by the guy's barbecuing or over the fire-pit and the gal's preparing the veggies and salad's. Loved the early morning coffee on the latte machine! Shall never forget the sound of the lapping water to go to sleep by and wake-up to each morning and those amazing sun-rise's...comfortable beds too! So enjoyed long walks along the beach collecting seashells and learning to kayak for the first time was a highlight for this 69 year old Grandma. Our grand-son's ( 11 and 14) loved Kayaking and improved daily as did their parent's.Guess what they're saving for?? We played Scrabble and Monopoly ( lots of board games to choose from), enjoyed family visiting from Seattle (a highlight for us as Canadian's), loved the town of Vashon.....especially the take-out food ordered from May's Thai food restaurant for our 38th anniversary! Appreciated the cozy atmosphere of the house, enjoyed reading about the history of this site and wonderful picture display of the journey involved over the years depicting the love and talents of those who created this wonderful home. The owner's could not have been more accommodating and we will be eternally grateful for them allowing us to experience their "little piece of heaven on earth"."

  • Perfect in every way

"A well maintained home with beautiful views of the sound, the ferrys to Port Townsend, and the mountains. We were there for a week long weaving class in Coupeville. It was an easy drive into Coupeville, and to come home every night to sunsets, views and a beautiful, well equipped kitchen was heaven. It truly is as good as it looks in the picture, and yes, there is a lot of driftwood there. Thank you for lending your lovely home, and for providing so many amenities to your guests."

  • Loved "The Boathouse"

"My husband and I stayed 3 nights in the boathouse, which is an efficiency studio in the lower level of this rental. It was charming, quiet, and very comfortable. We didn't have an opportunity to use all the amenities, but the unit is extremely well-equipped with cooking implements, fridge, hot plate, microwave, and quite cozy with bathrobes, beach towels, and more. While there isn't a view from the apartment, there are delightful seating areas outdoors with stunning views. There is also a view from the deck off the main house, great for a family to rent the whole thing. We will definitely stay here again. Note, while I raised my eyebrows at Joy's homemade flax muffins, they are as delicious as she claims!"
