  • Peace And Quiet!!

"This was our first trip to Vashon Island so our smart phones came in handy finding this hidden gem. We enjoyed the solitude and never saw any neighbors. The house had all the amenities we could need and then some. Our trip to Vashon was mainly to visit family so we all got together at their houses. We would've liked to have had them over to see the rental property but the parking issue prevented it. There's only one small parking spot as far as we could tell. It only took a day to figure out where things are on the island and to find our way around. While there we enjoyed browsing through the shops and galleries and sampling some great coffees and baked goods. We also dined at The Hardware Store on three occasions for three diffeerent meals and thoroughly enjoyed them all. It was great having laundry facilities, large flat screen tv, and a nice recliner on the lower level but accessing the lower level was a minor challenge for someone with physical issues, ie bad knees and hips because of the tight spiral staircase. One can go out the door and around the house to get downstairs. All in all we really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, the bed was good, and the view was great!"

  • perfect refreshing getaway

"We highly recommend this relaxing well cared for home. Everything you could possibly think you may need was there along with what you didn't think was there also. The pictures do not do portray the peace calm and serenity we felt as a family. Thank you allowing us to enjoy your home."

  • Location location location!

"We recently returned from spending a month at Rising Moon Beach House, and we could have happily stayed longer. The views from every room of the house as well as the two decks are breathtaking. The house is attractive, comfortable and very clean, and Kathy and Al have gone to considerable trouble to make it a relaxing place to spend a vacation. They were very responsive to any questions or concerns that came up. We had easy access to all that Bainbridge has to offer, and the ferry made it easy and fun to go to Seattle for shopping, restaurants and a ball game. Rolling Bay, an easy walk, is a sweet little village with a café, a general store (Bay Hay and Feed), and an excellent Italian deli (Via Rosa). Just three miles away is Winslow with more restaurant and shopping options. Bainbridge has several state parks with beaches and hiking trails, and the Bloedel Reserve is a real treat. The Olympic Peninsula is nearby and worth visiting. Then again, I could have spent the whole month sitting on that deck watching the views change and the birds and ships come and go. Rising Moon gives new meaning to the idea of a relaxing vacation."

  • Everything Promised and More!!!!!!

"I was quite pleased to learn that every feature listed, as well as all of the photos were totally accurate. The property is spacious, comfortable, immaculate, and has something for all. Seven of us girlfriends treated ourselves to time away. The property is large enough that we could split up and do whatever we felt at a given time. The home and grounds are large enough for families, couples, and small groups like ours. The outside entertainment area is fantastic. The property is also in a great location to take off from to explore Seattle, parks, and get to the ferries. We had a great time at the art walk night in town and enjoyed a couple of close by restaurants and wine bars. Shopping was very convenient. The owners, were great. Helpful, pleasant, and prompt to answer any questions. I can't see how you can go wrong staying there...enjoy!!!"
