"I'm home and back to reality. But as the stress of being a working mom of 4 sneaks back in, I literally picture this little slice of heaven on earth and find myself breathing in the peace of it. So awesome to wake up in the night or morning and only hear the sound of the waves on the shore. My teenage daughter and I had a great getaway here. You can go carless or have a car. We did both into Seattle. It is a perfect home base, or just a retreat away from the hustle and bustle. I wish we could've stayed longer. Please, please, please keep this going so we can come back, Bonnie! Thanks so much for a perfect escape location!"

"We rented this house recently for our Bunco group and had a wonderful experience. The house is perfect for a group with couples since there are 4 queen beds and 1 king bed. The indoor space worked well for a large group and group meals. The weekend we were there, the weather was beautiful so we enjoyed walks in the area, beach time and and s'mores by the fire. It is such a convenient location for a weekend getaway with opportunities for outings in the area. The owners provided great customer service and we would definitely rent this house again."

"This house is perfect! Extremely comfortable beds, updated and convenient appliances, great TV/extras, lovely decor, topped off by a large, fully furnished deck with a spectacular water view. We took a week-long class in nearby Coupeville and this became more than our base of operations - it was truly a home away from home. Being in class all week didn't leave us with much "tourist" time but we did enjoy a walk on the beach and a few pleasant dinners out. The ability to prepare breakfasts, lunches and some dinners at home was wonderfully convenient and saved us some money. Also, through fortunate timing we were able to obtain the winter-special rental rate which was a welcome bonus. The owner is quite pleasant and very responsive to any questions/problems. I would not only (hopefully!) come back to this location, I have already recommended it to friends."

"I hesitate to write this review only because I want to keep the knowledge of this hidden gem all to myself. This house was simply perfect for our family of 7 (we have 5 kids under 7 years old). The inside of the house was comfortable, kid friendly (there were no low placed knickknacks for us to have to rescue from our toddler), and provided plenty of places for all of us to sleep comfortably. The upper bunk beds do not have a guard rail, so we weren't comfortable letting our kids sleep on those. But they loved the two lower bunks and the large air bed (there are tons of air beds and sleeping bags in the upstairs closet). Our kids absolutely loved the closet filled with kid and adult board games, and we spent 2 late nights laughing and playing games.
The kitchen had everything we needed, including plastic plates and cups for kids. There were plenty of blankets and pillows for everyone.
The absolute best part of this property is the proximity to the beach. It is literally steps away. Yet the property is fully fenced, making it possible to keep rambunctious little ones safe. Our kids loved digging in the rocks in the yard. We made a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed hot dogs and marshmallows. There is also a large grassy field right next to the house perfect for kite flying.
The island itself is wonderful. We explored Double Bluff beach (amazing sandy beach) and Fort Casey.
Everyone in our family is talking about when we get to go back to the beach house - mom and dad included!"
