"My family of 7 (ages 7 to 74) spent a week in this lovely home. For years we've rented a home twice a year to vacation together. We've thoroughly enjoyed the experience and have never even been tempted to rent the same home twice - until now. This home is amazing and we'd all love to come back for another week. It's well designed, beautifully decorated, has lovely landscaping and is in a perfect location - near excellent hiking trails and restaurants. We spent many relaxed, happy evenings on the lovely deck that overlooks the gurgling river - chatting and listening to the big variety of birds."

"It is a beautiful home, maintained with exquisite care. The house was spotlessly clean, fully stocked, with much attention to detail. Of course, the best part is the view -- it is expansive, varied, it changes by the minute, it is different depending on the weather, you could really spend an entire vacation in the yard or living room just looking at the view, and not be bored. David the owner is great, very nice, professional, responsive. The island itself is very interesting, and well-located to get to the Olympic Peninsula --- it is only 75 minutes to the top of Hurricane Ridge. All in all this is a wonderful place and we can't wait to go back."

"This home was the perfect location for my week long stay over the Christmas holiday. I've booked quite a few stays in beautiful places but I have to say that this one topped them all. I'm going to try to not repeat everything others have said but I have to reiterate that this house does indeed have "magical" views. Waking up in the comfortable queen bed in the master suite upstairs, I found myself not wanting to leave the bed, instead reading and sipping coffee in bed, looking out at the still waters of the Sound and across to Bainbridge Island. The owner was incredibly accommodating, bringing a small Christmas tree over, as well as purchasing some cooking utensils and dishes I may need to serve Christmas dinner to my family. Everyone who visited marveled at my find! One note that I didn't see posted and would have been helpful: At low tide, the beach exposes rocks with sharp barnacles, which can tear up dogs' paws when they run. We had a minor first aid emergency with Sophie, my kids' lab, who loves to run and swim, and who injured her paws. Thankfully, the owners had first aid supplies and Sophie was able to enjoy the rest of her stay. I'll be booking this again...perhaps a bit earlier during the holidays to enjoy the boat parade!"
