  • Port Orchard Waterfront

"Randy was attentive, but gave us our privacy. The key was in a lock box and made check in/out easy. Comfortable beds and cozy living room. Nice to be able to cook our own meals and a barbeque grill outside if needed. We had our own with us and cooked outside one night. Wonderful to hear the water at high tide lapping underneath us as we drifted off to sleep. I like that we could lock our bikes up on the entryway decking safely. Clean, cozy and comfortable."

  • Beautiful Landscaping

"Lovely home with a well equipped Kitchen and comfortable family room. Easy to prepare meals with people helping around the island or close by watching TV and keeping up with World Cup Soccer. The backyard landscape, fountain and plantings are beautiful. Thank you for maintaining such an nice home at a reasonable price. A great find."

  • Great House!

"Like the previous reviewer, I was able to make a last minute reservation for a 7 night stay over the thanksgiving week. We had family coming into town for my grandmother's memorial service. This place was wonderful. We were able to sleep four families, one to each room. The kitchen was huge and full of amenities that made it easy for us to have the rest of the family over for food and fellowship. There were enough dishes to cook, serve, and plate thanksgiving dinner for probably 25 people (we had 13). It was very cold, but we still made it across the street to explore the beach and the waterman pier. There were lots of games, toys for the kids, and a ping pong table. This House is very charming and set up really well so all could gather to play games, sit by the fire, watch a movie, or just visit. I would definitely recommend it, and I would stay again in the future!"

  • Relaxing Getaway!

"My friend and I spent a wonderful week in Port Orchard at this great cottage. The photos were quite accurate and we found the property clean and well maintained. We were warmly welcomed with dimmed lights, music playing and a bottle of wine with glasses. There were a number of special ammenities like spa robes, toiletries, coffee pods that made us feel pampered. The cottage is a 1920's style but has been upgraded inside with a casual elegance but still keeping to the early decor and details. Sleeping areas are a nice size and very comfortable. Although the bathroom is narrow and does not have a tub, the shower is large and glorious. Kitchen has new appliances, the dining room easily seats 6-8 and the living room has lots of comfortable seating for watching TV. But the best part is the patio, deck and hot tub. We spent a lot of time eating, reading and relaxing at the table under an umbrella or in the hot tub. Although there is a house between the cottage and the shoreline, there is still a lovely view. Lots of trees, plants and shrubs which were not only beautiful but also gave a lot of privacy and quiet. We had deer in the garden just below the patio on four mornings! Gig Harbor, Poulsbo and Port Townsend are an easy 30-60 minutes away. On the waterfront in Port Orchard is a great restaurant Amy's on the Bay, summer concerts on Thursdays and a delightful Farmers Market on Saturdays. The Manchester Grill in Manchester (about five miles from the cottage) offers a great view of the Seattle skyline and if you are very lucky a view of Mt. Rainier! We decided to take the Fauntelroy to Southworth car ferry instead of driving from SEA/TAC down to Tacoma and up the pennisula (about 1-2 hours depending on traffic) and it was not only fun but great views of Puget Sound surroundings. It is only about 8 miles north of SEA/TAC, just a forty minute crossing and Southworth Ferry Terminal is only about five nimutes from the cottage. The owner is only a phone call away and very helpful if needed. We would definitely recommend this lovely cottage and just may return one day!"
