"I love the layout of this place. It reminds me of a "tiny house". It was clean(very important for me), and the shower was extra large. There are several hooks on the wall to hang belongings. And, surprise! There is a chalk board wall which my daughter loved! Much better than staying at a hotel. Nice landscaping. Shared yard space with the owners, who work hard to meet the needs of guests. Located in the heart of Renton, in a nice old neighborhood."

"We had childhood friend came from Texas and California, looking for a good location that they can visit the beautiful Northwest and some light beach activities. We had 10 members of our group and there was so much room we could just choose where we wanted to sleep each night! The house is absolutely SPOTLESS clean and really comfy. The kitchen is gourmet and was a pleasure to cook, we have 5 "love to cook" women in our group and they all love to spent time together in the kitchen. The TV room downstairs housed the amateur "choir" and allowed separation for those in the kitchen and those involved in chit chat and sports. There are two other spacious area that we didn't use! We spent two amazing nights.
The view is truly indescribable. The owners were INCREDIBLY gracious and helpful. At every point we called them they answered immediately. I can't imagine a more helpful family. We didn't catch any crab but found plenty clams and oysters. It was memorial trip for my friends from Texas and California who never been to a view house before."

Spectacular Gardens, Clean, Quiet, Safe and Oh, SO Comfortable!
"We have had such a wonderful time at Birdsong Cottage! I have never slept better as the beds were perfect! The cottage was so beautifully decorated, clean, organized and had everything we could need! The gardens were just amazing and everyday, we loved watching all the blooms, birds and squirrels! The "wall" of gorgeous rhododendrons were a perfect backdrop for all our family pictures. Thank you for pointing out the nest of peregrine falcons across the river! Wow! The variety of birds brought us endless entertainment and we have now found a new hobby! We are SO sad to leave but will be back next year!"

"We enjoyed our stay here and the proximity to the beach, which was directly across the street from the house (for those of you with kids and/or pets, the "street" is speed restricted to 12 mph with the homeowners deftly brandishing those who attempt to go faster). The windows (which also provided us a nice breeze during the evening as it was warm spell during our stay) in the front of the house provide an expansive and beautiful view of Port Susan whether you are in the kitchen, dining area, or the living room. Step out onto the expansive front deck and it only gets better! We went to one of the local Farmer's markets and picked up fresh vegetables and fresh fish. Grilling out on the expansive front deck with a cocktail and looking out at the water was a treat.
We enjoy the ability to be able to bring our dogs with us as they are our family as well and the owners are gracious in allowing them at this residence. My dog loves the water and the beach access at high tide was wonderful. The beach is popular with kids and adults alike at high tide due to the shallow bottom and warm water.
The décor of this home is a bit dated but everything is in good condition and very clean. While watching TV is not a priority, a more modern TV would benefit the home for those that do.
Suzanne was pleasant to work with and is very thorough.
This is a great place to visit if you are looking for a beachfront home on Camano Island.
(Do note that you must take your own trash to the local depository for a nominal fee as there is no trash service at the home)."
