  • Perfect for weekend away

"My husband and I stayed here for our first trip to a Whidbey (we hope to return!) Langley is a wonderful spot on the island and this apartment made our trip very enjoyable. It is nice and private yet close to everything. Highly recommend."

  • great for kids too

"We stayed here in aug with two small children. The beach is sandy and really great for kids. The house was good even though the decor was very 'Miami Vice". The kitchen is well stocked and the separate levels allow privacy for each couple. I would stay here again."

  • Awesome view, cozy cabin, and friendly owners

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at the Driftwood Cabin. Early December in the Puget Sound, I wasn't sure how the weather would hold up, but the clouds cleared up enough to give us some awesome views of and sunsets over the Olympics! This was our second visit to Whidbey Island, but our first staying directly on the water, and that was definitely our preference. We enjoyed walking down to the beach but, for this visit, the tide was too high for us to walk very far. We loved Driftwood Cabin! The abundance of windows provides lots of natural light and views of the wonderful scenery mentioned previously. The open living / dining area is spacious yet cozy, and the hot tub is top-notch. For this visit, it was just my wife and me, but the cabin could easily accommodate two couples or a family. Communication with Greg was excellent. He responded quickly to my initial inquiry about renting the cabin and provided clear details about the rate and features of the cabin. The morning of the day we arrived, Greg texted me to check in on when to expect us so he could set the heater accordingly. These small touches made us feel especially welcome. We hope to return in the future; it's one of two candidates for visiting when my parents come to Seattle to visit us next year."

  • A Great Place to Stay

"My wife and I stayed for a week during July of 2014 in this lovely house overlooking the ferry dock on the south end of the Island. We loved the rhythm of the arrival and departure of the ferries during the day and into the early evening. We had spent the previous week living in a cabin near the ferry dock at the north end of the island, but we much preferred staying in this house at the south end of the Island. Several friends joined us for dinner, and they loved this south-end location too. The only problem that we had was trying to decide where to have a glass of wine in the afternoon, dinner in the evening, and breakfast in the morning. The cluster of chairs down by the beach proved to be our favorite place for wine in the late afternoon; the upper deck, closest to the kitchen door, was our choice for breakfast; and the deck just below it was where we enjoyed dinner, while watching the sky darken and stars appear. When seated on either deck, we were surrounded by the large pots of flowering plants that Bruce, the owner, grows. It was easy to prepare meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and there are two nice bedrooms from which to choose. Because the weather was lovely, we spent very little time in the living room, but it looks like a cozy place to be on a rainy day. In fact, we actually asked Bruce if would consider renting the house to us during the winter, because we loved staying there so much during the summer. We would recommend this house without reservation to anyone wishing to spend a week on lovely Vashon Island."
