"We had a great time on Whidbey Island and this house was a good home base. It was spacious for our group and offered everything we needed to make our own meals. Only negative was there was lots of dog hair on the bedding - maybe not a good place for someone allergic to animals. Otherwise, a solid spot on a beautiful island."

"We had a family vacation, my adult children and my grandchild were in both the Studio and 1 bedroom units. This was amazing we had such a good time. Larry really did think of everything from having booties for the kids and adults to use walking on the shore during low tide, to having kayaks for us all to enjoy. I am now Kayak enthusiasts. The studio and the 1 bedroom was wonderful, relaxing, grilling every night and eating outside on the family size table. Cant say thank you enough. Oh, by the way, like the others we never made it to Seattle, we didn't need to leave the island . Bryce -Austin"

"The house is spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished. The kitchen is quirky in that it is split back-to-back in 2 rooms: However, we did quite a bit of cooking and this arrangement was not a problem. The floors creak upstairs. The surrounding grounds are lovely. The house is a ways back from the highway, so there was no road noise and we appreciated the privacy. The owner was extremely helpful in every respect. We would be happy to return to this terrific retreat."

"We loved the kayaks, paddleboat, fire pit, warm water for swimming, blackberry picking, nearby wooded area with paths for kids to go adventuring but not out of sight. Did not like the clutter in garage, on deck, beside house. Especially helpful provisions were a large selection of life jackets, long forks for roasting over a fire, and plenty of wood. There are also fishing poles and a tackle box available, a large screen TV and a DVD player (not VHS) in the living room."
