  • Nice House, great location

"Our group of 10 adults had a nice week at the Lake Sawyer home. It is a large, comfortable house with a fantastic view. Waking up and having a clear view of Mt. Rainier across the lake was very special. The area is tucked away in the woods, but there is easy access to groceries, gas, and restaurants nearby. We were a little short on towels and bath mats, and a few pots and pans were past their prime, but we had a great vacation nonetheless. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary while we there and had a nice dinner at Farrelli's pizza. The location south of Seattle cuts time off the trip to Mt. Rainier, and trips into Seattle and even up to the Boeing plant tour in Everett weren't too long."

  • T&J from SA, TX

"This was our second stay at the cottage and we enjoyed it even more than the first stay. The fresh baked pie at arrival was second to none, which is always a great start. The view is awesome, which is not only of Puget Sound, but of whatever wildlife or birds that may in the area. It is a great place to go and relax, relieve stress and appreciate the greater things in life. Edmonds is a great community to shop and eat. The ferry to Kingston leaves from downtown and you can even catch a train to Vancouver, B.C. if you want some adventure. There are many wild blackberry bushes to harvest in August & September, plus John & Laura grow all kinds of berries, plums, apples, and even some rhubarb. John & Laura are great hosts, always willing to provide information, and their "talking stool" idea is very helpful. We look forward to our next visit. The 38 or 39 steps down to the cottage can be a challenge, but it is still well worth it."

  • Great memories!

"We had a delightful week at the Harbor Hideaway celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with our family. Our stay was at the end of August, and the weather was absolutely lovely. There was plenty of room, and the kitchen and other areas are so well stocked. I especially liked the layout of the home and the large size of the rooms. We all appreciated the various outdoor sitting areas – We could enjoy a different one every day and still have some remaining . . . My husband called his favorite sitting area “Grandpa’s perch” (the one that looks out over the harbor), and our granddaughter loved her “dance palace” (the gazebo)! The landscaping is very lovely, and we spotted lots of deer roaming through the back yard, and the birds (& birdhouses) were so much fun! We would gladly choose this home again, and we appreciated the smooth administration of the property/paperwork."

  • Here's What You Are Looking For...

"We cannot imagine a more perfect little vacation home! Walking through the entry doors and seeing the cottage unfold is a very special moment. You’ll know you are “home.” Spacious, open, pristine clean and comfortable with everything one needs at hand. Plenty of space everywhere and everything thoughtfully situated. Great to have not only a second bedroom/office but an additional half-bath with a great counter – “What more could a nice girl wish!” The laundry became my vanity room! Multiple extra beds, bedding, awaited guests. How easy to entertain! Plenty of living/entertaining space with comfy sofas. Because it was November we did not sit outside but the patio added to the ambiance and atmosphere of the whole place. We were warm and heating was quickly manageable if needed. Suzi and Marcus couldn’t have been more welcoming yet non-intrusive. And, O the treats! You’ll just have to book! Suzi even shopped for breakfast items for us. They kindly allowed access across their lawn to the beach. Our Island grandkids loved staying over and exploring the beach. We enjoyed walking everywhere! A memorable two weeks at Eagle Harbor! Delightful. A Quiet Retreat. We think you can tell we recommend you staying here! Thank you both for working so hard to ensure your guests had a peaceful stay with all their needs met!"
