  • Thanksgiving Treat!

"We stayed at this amazing home for 6 nights. We had a mix of friends and family for a total of 12 people on any given night. We had an infant, preschooler, high schoolers, and grandparents in the mix. We arrived late on Monday night to a well lighted and warm home. The entire house seems to have radiant floor heat which was a huge blessing to my elderly mom as she gets cold easily. There was a welcome basket from Max (caretaker) full of local goodies and brew! Max and his wife even vacated the bottom apartment to allow more sleeping space. The family with the infant used that space. The "cottage" was used by our 2 teenagers. They enjoyed having their own space. The home is amazing! Every corner holds a creative secret or interesting artifact. We could have stayed there for 2 weeks and never discovered all of it's glory. Our 3 year old grandson marveled at the train set which provided hours of entertainment. The kitchen is wonderful and fully equipped. Specifically, the gas cook top! The master bedroom mattress was the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Even when the electricity went out, we enjoyed family games by candlelight and warmth by the fireplace. Even though theweather was mostly windy and rainy (which is expected for this time of year in Washington), our teenagers still tried to brave the waters with our blow-up kayaks. This lasted about 5 minutes as the waves were pretty big and common sense prevailed. Teenagers will be teenagers. Speaking of teenagers, when the electricity was out, our teenage boys found their more primal side and started a fire in the outdoor fire pit. The sunsets were indescribable. So amazingly beautiful. Thank you Stevenson family for providing our extended family a place to be together for Thanksgiving!"

  • Everthing as described and more!

"My husband and I stayed there June 19th, through June 25th, 2014. When you first walk into the house, you can't help but just stop in your tracks and stare at the most gorgeous view of Seattle! Then your sights turn to the house itself, and it is one of the most beautiful homes I have ever been in. It is decorated so professionally ~ I was taking pictures with my iphone of all the special touches throughout, to get ideas for my own home! The home and outside landscaping is immaculate! It seemed like we were the first ones to ever stay there! The owner could not have been more helpful! He was so pleasant to talk with and very accessible if you had questions about anything. He sent me a manual before we left, which I printed out and took with us, not only telling things about the house that we should know about, but things to do on Bainbridge, recommended restaurants, etc. He was most thorough! I would definitely recommend this property and we hope to stay again!"

  • Cozy, Spacious, Quiet, Serene Getaway

"We really enjoyed our stay! It was absolutely beautiful and relaxing and this home was spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly cozy! The view of the water out of the big windows gave the perfect morning light to read and relax in, and we didn't mind the rain at all one of the days - it gave some time to breathe the incredibly fresh air while enjoying the atmosphere inside and getting some reading and writing done. The decor was also really nice, clean, and the kitchen was specious to cook a big meal. We kept discovering really useful utensils and things to help with cooking (excited to find 3 types of delicious salt to cook with and a popcorn machine!) and wished we had enough time to cook on the deck and use the grill while watching the bald eagles fly over the water. Thank you Suzanne for a lovely stay, we can't wait to be back."

  • February 2015-Second Stay As Great as the First!

"We had such a fabulous stay with friends in this cabin last February, we decided to do it again! The cabin is very cozy, beds incredibly comfortable, and the setting is beautiful. Julia and her handsome dogs Timber and Ketchum were incredibly welcoming on the first visit and they made us feel like returning family when we arrived for the second. The view of the bay, sunrises and sunsets are incredible and the resident eagles and seals have not disappointed. Descriptions and photos of cabin are exactly as we experienced them on both visits - no disappointments at all. A much needed and very relaxing weekend in a great place, with great friends, and great hosts! Thanks, Julia!"
