  • Relaxing Family Vacation

"Spending a week here was one of the most relaxingvacation's ever with our kids and grand-kid's.Loved the setting...one of the most beautiful locations overlooking the Puget Sound. We had perfect weather which was conducive to meals outside on the sun-deck prepared by the guy's barbecuing or over the fire-pit and the gal's preparing the veggies and salad's. Loved the early morning coffee on the latte machine! Shall never forget the sound of the lapping water to go to sleep by and wake-up to each morning and those amazing sun-rise's...comfortable beds too! So enjoyed long walks along the beach collecting seashells and learning to kayak for the first time was a highlight for this 69 year old Grandma. Our grand-son's ( 11 and 14) loved Kayaking and improved daily as did their parent's.Guess what they're saving for?? We played Scrabble and Monopoly ( lots of board games to choose from), enjoyed family visiting from Seattle (a highlight for us as Canadian's), loved the town of Vashon.....especially the take-out food ordered from May's Thai food restaurant for our 38th anniversary! Appreciated the cozy atmosphere of the house, enjoyed reading about the history of this site and wonderful picture display of the journey involved over the years depicting the love and talents of those who created this wonderful home. The owner's could not have been more accommodating and we will be eternally grateful for them allowing us to experience their "little piece of heaven on earth"."

  • A Great Place to Stay

"My wife and I stayed for a week during July of 2014 in this lovely house overlooking the ferry dock on the south end of the Island. We loved the rhythm of the arrival and departure of the ferries during the day and into the early evening. We had spent the previous week living in a cabin near the ferry dock at the north end of the island, but we much preferred staying in this house at the south end of the Island. Several friends joined us for dinner, and they loved this south-end location too. The only problem that we had was trying to decide where to have a glass of wine in the afternoon, dinner in the evening, and breakfast in the morning. The cluster of chairs down by the beach proved to be our favorite place for wine in the late afternoon; the upper deck, closest to the kitchen door, was our choice for breakfast; and the deck just below it was where we enjoyed dinner, while watching the sky darken and stars appear. When seated on either deck, we were surrounded by the large pots of flowering plants that Bruce, the owner, grows. It was easy to prepare meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and there are two nice bedrooms from which to choose. Because the weather was lovely, we spent very little time in the living room, but it looks like a cozy place to be on a rainy day. In fact, we actually asked Bruce if would consider renting the house to us during the winter, because we loved staying there so much during the summer. We would recommend this house without reservation to anyone wishing to spend a week on lovely Vashon Island."

  • Perfect Island Getaway

"I loved everything about my stay at Dilworth Point B&B. I was looking for a beautiful place to relax, unwind, and do some aimless wandering. This location fit the bill perfectly! Mary and Rudy were excellent hosts, offering just the right amount of companionship and privacy. Close enough to town to grab a meal or massage, but also a great location for walking on the beach or through beautiful farm country, cycling, kayaking, or just curling up with a good book and a great bottle of wine. The view was spectacular. The breakfast treats in the fridge were fantastic. I just can't say enough great things about this place."

  • Our Labor Day Family Weekend was a hit!

"Our four days Lynn's Family Home went exactly as promised. The setting on South Maury Island was terrific and allowed for walks down to Manzanita Beach, kayaking off the bulkhead, and boating from Dockton Marina. We had a mix of beautiful and crummy weather, what a treat to finally see Mt. Rainier jump out on our 3rd day. The accommodations, while not a high end resort, were very nice and reflects the love and care this family has given this home for several generations. I found it best to introduce myself to the close-in neighbors on both sides and were welcomed by them and they helped us best negotiate the tight shared parking. Sure there were things I might have wanted differently (like being able to watch the Mariners Channel), but our whole group of parents and adult children were just so very pleased to have a comfortable and stunning setting for our 'family fest'. I found Lynn to be conscientious and responsive owner. This place is worth considering."
