"We enjoyed our stay. Our son lives in area(navy) and we got to cook family dinners for him and spend quality time together. It was in a perfect location. Waking to the views each morning was a huge bonus. Cute cottage with all the essentials provided."

"We were originally looking for a place on Orcas; but I was repeatedly drawn to the beauty and ease of access to Ravnik house. The pictures do not do this place justice; it is more beautiful in person. We arrived after dark and a long day's journey; the night lighting makes the house sparkle like a jewel. But then in the morning, the true splendor of the place comes to the fore. Everything you could want is provided, just bring your own toothbrush! Towels and bed linens are quite luxurious and put Hilton's to shame. Ravnik is located almost perfectly in the center of Whidbey and just a short drive to Oak Harbor, Coupeville and Langley. Lots of good restaurants on the Island, let Yelp be your guide. We explored the nearby state parks and light houses. Our 4 year old loved walks on the beach and throwing stones into the waves and his Dad brought him a kite to fly. All the ships that go to Seattle, pass Ranvik house. Dan has a lovely tripod mounted on a tripod; I found an app for the Ipad that would identify any ship in sight. The house is divided into two wings, each with a separate bath; so you can have as much togetherness or apartness as you desire. The central space has a lovely sitting area and a gorgeous kitchen. Lots of caffeine is available, it's a Washington thing, I believe. Dan and Lisa are very pleasant and easy to work with. Communications were prompt and informative. They provided a list of things to do/eat/see on Whidbey that was very helpful. Opening and closing instructions were provided, as well as instructions in the house on how to operate things. They even had a special treat for our grandson, Thanks! I have exhausted all the nice things I can think of to say about Ranvik house. It is a superb property, well-maintained and a joy to stay at. I would most highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay in the Pacific Northwest!"

"My boyfriend and I decided, last minute, to head out of town and have a nice little getaway. With the cold weather, having the hot tub was AWESOME! We felt so secluded and miles away from Seattle. It was so perfect sitting in the hot tub and overlooking a stunning view of the water and mountains. The house is really close to town so we could buzz in and grab groceries, but we mostly lounged around, watched TV, cooked and enjoyed the house. The kitchen has all the necessary tools, there's TONS of room, so we will likely be back with friends over the summer. They have really done a beautiful job with the place and we didn't want to leave. Shane also gave us the whole day Sunday since we got in so late on Friday, which was really nice. I'd absolutely recommend this for a couples getaway or, for friends and family looking for a place to getaway and enjoy an awesome deck and view! :)"

"We took a 13 day vacation to Washington/Canada from Texas. We stayed at this beautiful place for 6 days (3 adults and 2 kids). Everyone agreed their favorite part of vacation was staying in this home. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the decks watching bald eagles, seals, heron, deer, and other wildlife. The kids loved playing in the lagoon catching crab, hermit crabs, and small fish. We spent a couple evenings making smores in the fire pit and outdoor fireplace. The house is very clean and well maintained. An upstairs closet was full of numerous board games that we enjoyed playing at night. There is also a huge selection of movies to watch. The kitchen is small, but well equipped. We enjoyed opening the windows for cool breezes and listen to the waves. The town of Coupeville was just minutes away for quick trips to grocery store and the best ice cream near the pier. We would love to visit again!"
