  • Perfect cozy spot for small family and couples

"This is a beautiful suite in a neat area of the island. I felt Freeland was like stepping back in time yet we were a pleasant 50 minute drive to the more populated Oak Harbor and a short 10 minutes to Langley. The suite is decorated beautifully and accommodated 2 adults and a 9 year old well. There are artistic high ceilings and drop lights with dimmers for an artistic touch. The kitchen does not have a stove but does have a small fridge, microwave and convection oven. We slept well in the quiet bedroom. Virginia and Ken were kind and had good recommendations for things to do and places to go. If you are a wine lover you MUST stop in Blooms for a tasting (and some purchasing if you love it as much as I did!!). Over all this was a great place to stay on Whidbey and I plan to stay again when we can make it out here."

  • Great space, fabulous view, and wonderful owner

"This place if great for a getaway on Whidbey Island! The unit is a penthouse above the owner's home, completely separate with it's own kitchenette, eating area, bedroom with enough room for a sitting area, bathroom, and deck. The view is fabulous, with the sunset, water, gardens, and mountains all in view. All ship traffic heading to/from Seattle and Tacoma passes by in clear view, including freight ships, cruise ships, and Coast Guard ships. The deck has a great 2-person hot tub, which we really enjoyed. The place is also really well equipped - the bed was very comfortable, plenty of towels for both the shower and the hot tub, 2-showerhead shower, easy plug-in for the ipod into the stereo, coffee maker and coffee, etc. The owner is extremely attentive and helpful. She even called us the first evening around dinner time saying that they had made extra red snapper if we wanted some. We had dinner plans, so we declined. But that is just one example of several where she went out of her way to make the stay a fabulous one. 5-Stars all the way!"

"This was our 3rd stay and each time just gets better and better. Went over to Port Townsend suggested by owner Fran and had a wonderful afternoon. Short little ferry ride, just park your car and walk on -all shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. This is a beautiful location, the views and sunsets are spectacular! Must not forget the wonderful hot tub after your day of adventures! We will definately be back. Thanks again Fran and Thom!"
