"We had a nice time. The house was fully stocked with everything that was needed, and amazingly even a potty seat for the 2.5 year old. All we had to bring was our food and personal items. We enjoyed seeing the deer up close in the yard and clam digging when the tide was out. Every bedroom had cable television and a private bath, so it was easy to divide and choose bedrooms with no one feeling like they got the short end of the stick. The island, while close to Seattle, still felt like a vacation retreat far away from "the real world". We visited several beaches, checked out real estate, and went to Fort Casey for exploring, bike riding and kite flying. The only minor criticism I could come up with would be to have a microwave oven instead of the confection oven, which we could not get the hang of using, so we popped corn on the stove instead. Otherwise I was amazed by the thoughtfulness of the potential needs and clear cut instructions/information provided. There are stairs up and down to all bedrooms (except one) and to beach access, which may be limiting to some people. We came in the summer, but I can imagine that this would make a nice winter retreat as well. Overall an enjoyable experience."

"My husband and I stayed for almost a week in August 2015. We were pleasantly surprised that the cottage has modern appliances (including a dishwasher-oh joy!), a well-stocked kitchen, super internet connection, and really comfortable beds and furniture. The location is a great one. It was our first trip to Whidbey Island, and we will be back. Full of tremendous natural beauty, much of which can be experienced from the back deck! I frequently saw bald eagles while sipping my morning coffee, and on the last morning was greeted by a Great Horned Owl. We spent many hours just hanging around the cottage, as the quiet beauty helped us get away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives.
The owner gave us very helpful tips and suggestions including a great whale watching outfit (Island Adventures--saw three whale species on our one trip), a dog beach, and a wonderful restaurant (Prima Cafe). We discovered Basil Cafe in Langley, which has excellent pho and a great outdoor seating area. Enjoyed walking around Langley and Coupeville, as well as Greenbank Farm. Cooked a lot using groceries from the nearby store, and lovely veg from the owner's garden. Resident dogs are very friendly and made us miss ours a bit less. As a dog owner I VERY much appreciate how welcoming this owner is to dogs, even though we didn't travel with ours this time. The only two possible downsides about this rental depending on your physical ability and transportation situation: this would be a tough location without a car. Accessing the loft requires that you be able to climb a ladder. If these aren't issues for you, then I highly recommend this rental."

"We have stayed here several times over the years and it never disappoints! The owners have thought of every detail to make your stay fun and relaxing! Our family of 7 comfortably stayed here for the weekend...the view was awesome, the kids and adults enjoyed the hot tub and huge wrap around deck, the city dogs enjoyed running around in the big yard and the beach was right down the hill. Everyone had a blast and we recommend this place to all of our friends. We will be back again soon!"

"My family and I spent 4 nights in this beautiful home this past week. There were 16 of us and we all fit without a problem. We practically lived outside, the covered deck, sand volleyball court, firepit, did I even mention the wonderful beach right outside the backdoor? We watched the most incredible sunsets each evening. The house was so accommodating and had everything we needed or could have wanted. The owner was so welcoming and easy to work with. He responded quickly each time I had a question during our planning stages and I truly felt that he wanted my family to be happy and feeling cared for during our vacation."
