Had a great weekend with my sons and daughter-in-law
"I took two of my adult sons and my daughter-in-law for a birthday trip. We love Whidbey Island and have stayed at other places previously, and this was definitely a great place for us. The water views were spectacular, especially in the morning. We are all active, so the short hike down to the beach (this property is on a high bank) was pleasant and allowed us to get some exercise. The street is quiet, which is a nice change from the city noise we usually deal with. Watching a seal play in the water was a treat.
The house had everything we needed, and we had some top flight meals as a result without having to hunt up a restaurant. The deck looking over the water is a great place for breakfast and barbecues. My daughter-in-law kept saying how much she liked Eagle's Perch and posting photos to Facebook, so I'm sure it was a hit."

"I could copy/paste my last year review
We love to try new homes every year but we returned to this house for many reasons. We liked that we had enough room to accommodate everybody, we loved the great view; we loved the kitchen (lots of pots and pans and dishes in good condition, working appliances, spices galore and lots of cleaning supplies); we loved having the boats; we loved the lower deck with the outdoor shower, sink to clean all your fishing loot, and nice chairs were you could just kick back and relax (the little room out there is also a plus). Also the house has easy level parking and the two showers and toilets (two bathrooms) were really appreciated. There is also the hot tub, the crab pots and cages, the available supply of paper towels and bathroom tissue. At many homes we had to get out and buy more paper supplies and sometimes the nearest store was far away (unlike the awesome Paylessfood in Freeland). This is a comfortable house with a great view and close from everything. For us this house fit the standards. Twice.
Thank you Kathy and Bruce for two great summer stays!"

"This is a beautiful home in a spectacular setting! Everything is designed to provide the ultimate relaxing experience for all age groups. We especially enjoyed being outside, spending time together. What an amazing view and lots of wildlife for entertainment. The pictures tell the actual story, what you see is what you will get to enjoy - definitely five stars!"

"I am always a little nervous after booking a place to stay sight unseen, but Mary's cottage exceeded my expectations! Great attention to detail! The cottage was immaculate, updated, comfortable, well stocked, and beautifully situated. We had everything we could think of from dishes, to washer and dryer, extra pillows and blankets, books and pamphlets on where to eat and activities on the island (hiking, festivals etc). The patio off the bedroom was nice for enjoying the beautiful evenings. There is a nice path through the woods/wetlands and the picture window made for lovely sunsets and sunrises. Lovely island to explore and perfect place to spend our evenings. The highway noise was a little loud when sitting on the back patio, but when inside the highway noise is not an issue and they even provide a white noise machine to help. We would definitely stay here again and were very happy with our stay."
