"The description is true to its word. All of us girls enjoyed our weekend at the beach house and I would highly recommend staying there. We had an easy walk right down to the beach, enjoyed dinner in town, and shared wine on the beautiful deck."

Perfect Brilliant Stillness (One of my favorite titles)
"The cottage is an architectural wonder and beautifully kept. Deer grazed through the yard. Such amazing peace and tranquility. I visited the nearby town of Langley, which is always a joy, and spent many hours in the Earth Sanctuary. Simple quick journeys for anything you might need... or for unique adventures on the beach, in the forest, or novelty shopping. A beautiful experience!"

"Thanks again to Kathy and Bruce Thurston! I've been to the Heren House over the last 7 years. It is always a wonderful time and just a perfect way to spend time on Whidbey Island. Beverly Beach is an ideal, scenic location to really experience what the Puget Sound has to offer. The Heron House has great views of Beverly Beach and its west facing arrangement gives you the best view of the sunset. The decks and hot tub make for a great vantage above Holmes Harbor to nature watch. Location plus accommodation. A+. Thanks again for a great time."

"We had a nice time. The house was fully stocked with everything that was needed, and amazingly even a potty seat for the 2.5 year old. All we had to bring was our food and personal items. We enjoyed seeing the deer up close in the yard and clam digging when the tide was out. Every bedroom had cable television and a private bath, so it was easy to divide and choose bedrooms with no one feeling like they got the short end of the stick. The island, while close to Seattle, still felt like a vacation retreat far away from "the real world". We visited several beaches, checked out real estate, and went to Fort Casey for exploring, bike riding and kite flying. The only minor criticism I could come up with would be to have a microwave oven instead of the confection oven, which we could not get the hang of using, so we popped corn on the stove instead. Otherwise I was amazed by the thoughtfulness of the potential needs and clear cut instructions/information provided. There are stairs up and down to all bedrooms (except one) and to beach access, which may be limiting to some people. We came in the summer, but I can imagine that this would make a nice winter retreat as well. Overall an enjoyable experience."
