"My husband and I stayed here for our first trip to a Whidbey (we hope to return!) Langley is a wonderful spot on the island and this apartment made our trip very enjoyable. It is nice and private yet close to everything. Highly recommend."

"We stayed at the Saratoga Guest Cottage in early October. The cottage was everything we hoped for and more. Ashlyn provided a crib for our daughter and even permitted us to extend our stay last minute! We can't wait to return!!!"

"The cabin is located in a gorgeous natural setting beneath towering pine trees and overlooking a tranquil lake. My wife and I booked a long romantic Valentine's Day weekend to unwind at this gem of a getaway. We spent several evenings gazing at the incredibly bright stars from the spacious hot tub. While enjoying our morning coffee, we watched bald eagles circle the lake for fish. We relaxed in front of the fireplace (tip: bring Duralogs) drinking wine and letting time slip by unnoticed. Even though it was February, it was warm enough to paddle around the lake in the canoe in the day, but by evening when the temperature dropped we warmed ourselves by making a small fire in the fire-pit located between the cabin and the lake. During our stay we visited quaint Langley, as well as some of the many local wineries located on south Whidbey Island (there was a wine tasting tour going on the weekend we visited). As the other reviewers note, there is no TV, no internet, no cell reception... and really, isn't that the whole point of going to a place like this? We did bring an iPod player to play some relaxing music as we made breakfast in the cozy kitchen or lounged in front of the fire. We arrived in the dark and slept in the upstairs loft, and upon waking the first morning we were greeted with awe-inspiring view of the lake with woodpeckers and bluejays flitting everywhere. There is another bedroom downstairs we didn't use, and there's only one bathroom, so couples with young kids or two couples who were familiar with each other would need to share. However, we felt it was the perfect size for just the two of us to sprawl out and decompress. We opted for the "light cleaning" option - you still need to wipe things down, pack out your trash, and pull the sheets, but that really wasn't an issue. I highly recommend this place and almost wish we could keep it our own secret!!"
