"This little cabin met all our needs for a delightful weekend stay on the island. It was clean, quiet, and comfy with a view of the Olympics. The bedrooms are small, but the great room and kitchen are comfortably sized. It’s location on the south end of the island gave us easy access to a nice dinner in Langley, a hike at Ebey’s Landing and visit to a pumpkin farm. Even though the beach was not easily accessed on our stormy weekend, we enjoyed the herons and eagles from the front window. Gretchen was easy to work with for planning our stay at this little cottage. We look forward to our next visit to Whidbey."

"Beautiful home, everything you could need or want. The kitchen is really well stocked and the knives were actually sharp (I usually bring my own to these rentals because they are usually dull dull dull and I cook a lot). Just an absolute joy to be there. Quiet, beautiful view, comfy furniture to snuggle up on, great bedding. It was perfect for two adults but the bathroom is quite small so I can't imagine it would have worked well if we'd brought our two teenagers (or other adults) with us. But maybe we're just bathroom hogs. lol. Seriously though everything was great and we hope to be back!"

"The house was great. Wonderful views, lots of amenities, plenty to do. The kitchen was well supplied with anything needed for our use. Loved the basketball/badminton court, kayak and canoe. Would love to come back again for another stay."

"We had a wonderful time at this lovely home on Whidbey Island. It was really an honor to stay in such a unique home with all the special custom woodwork and accessories. I'm sure that each unique piece has a story to tell and we wish we knew them all.
We loved the custom stone fireplace in the living room. Such a cozy and warm place to relax. It looks as good as the photo and extra wood was nearby for easy use. Lots of seating for good conversations, too.
The kitchen was large and fit many folks trying to make meals at once. Nice appliances and it was wonderful to have the extra refrigerator in the laundry room, and we sure used it. We cooked a lot and stayed home to enjoy the views and lovely location. Our group went from ages 8 to 91, and it was perfect for all of us together.
It was also fascinating to see all the paintings and the book of watercolors by Bud Erickson, who must be a family member. And he designed the home, too, so wonder it was so exceptional. Our contact Bob (son of Bud the artist) was very responsive and available to answer all our questions. Much appreciated information!
We found the dining room table to be perfect for a huge family. Plenty of room for everyone to feel included. Loved the very distinctive wooden chairs, too. All of the wooden features were what made the home so incredibly special. From the china cabinet, to the drawers, the bed frames, the occasional tables, and everything in between. We even worked puzzles on the smaller convenient table next to the couch.
The wooden hot tub was older, but very warm and relaxing and we even got in some volley ball. What a terrific sandy court to play on. We were grateful for the wooden walkway to the beach. Made for easy trips there, even though it was such a short level walk. We also enjoyed the adirondack chairs near the beach. Now that's a great way to relax when it is warm and balmy; and feel the gentle breeze while listening to the water lapping on the shore, with seagulls soaring above. Sounds like heaven to me, and it was a definitely a glorious weekend. We WILL be back and we can't wait."
