"First trip to WA & was fortunate to find this rental. Beautiful setting & views. Home is spotless & updated. Would highly recommend this property. Location is great for sightseeing. We traveled to the coast twice, Victoria & hiked in Olympic National Park."

"My family stayed at this rental for two weeks in June 2015. It was a wonderful experience all around. I would definitely stay here again in the future and recommend it to others. The owner was extremely helpful and welcoming from initial contact through email until we left the rental. She clearly cares very much about keeping her property up and sharing her property and tips about neat island experiences with visitors. The house sits on a larger property also kept up meticulously, and is a wonderful spot to explore and lounge. The owner invited us to pick freely from the flourishing vegetable, herb, and flower gardens she keeps and boy did we have enough to eat!! The rental is carefully and thoughtfully kept, from cleanliness to having beautiful bouquets of flowers from the garden placed around the house. The view is to die for, and in prime sunset-viewing position, from inside or outside the house. The house is well-stocked all around with linens, throw blankets, books for reading, info about the region, a well-functioning internet connection, and even binoculars for looking out over Honeymoon Bay and getting a closer look at frequent bird visitors. The kitchen is stocked with anything you could want from pots and pans, to spices and olive oil. The house feels very private from the rest of the property but it was comforting to know that someone was a stone's throw away in case we needed anything. The owner keeps a dog and he was fun to have around - friendly and calm.
I stayed here with my husband and our 2-year old toddler, along with another young adult extended family member (sleeping in the loft) and the house was perfect for us. Any more than that and it would be cramped, though. It was a perfect spot for kids and adults of all ages.
Another great thing about this location is that it's very close to a well-stocked grocery store, which really came in handy for quick trips to grab any forgotten items. We cooked alot (including on the bbq) during our stay and really appreciated this. It's also within a short drive to nearby towns for shopping and restaurant-going. And, of course, the island in general is such a wonderful place to have a vacation.
I would say the only downside to staying here would be fore travelers not having a bike or car. It's not the most walkable area, although there is a main road leading to town, which is about a mile away.
We will definitely be back some time...we had a wonderful experience."

"We have been going to Kate's Cottage for about 10 year now, only missed a few yearly visits and will continue to go as long as we can. The views are wonderful, cottage is well equipped, friendly neighbors, great outdoors space for long walks if the tide is low, awesome for kids with lots of drift wood to build tends. We were all sad we had to leave and already looking forward to the next visit."

"We were fortunate to be able to rent this house for four nights in August, 2014. The house is lovely, clean, hospitable, every appliance works well. There is a well stocked kitchen and room to accommodate a family of various ages. Our family ranged in age from 21 to 90 and there were activities to meet those disparate interests. There is hiking, swimming, kayaking, biking, star gazing by the fire pit, as well as great food and shopping in nearby Coupeville, We picked the copious and delicious blackberries along the roads. The owners are very thorough in imparting helpful information about the house and its workings as well as what to see and do in the surrounding area. Lovely, we hope to be able to return."
