  • Perfect weekend escape!

"The cottage was absolutely wonderful - fully equipped kitchen, gorgeous wall-to-wall view of the water, hot tub, and heated (!) bathroom floors. The owners were responsive and helpful, and made the whole process easy. Such a lovely little escape for a few days."

  • Girl's Getaway

"We had a girl's getaway for two nights. The house is fantastic and even better than the photos show. The beds were very comfortable and the house was clean. We will definitely return to stay again."

  • Great memories!

"We had a delightful week at the Harbor Hideaway celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with our family. Our stay was at the end of August, and the weather was absolutely lovely. There was plenty of room, and the kitchen and other areas are so well stocked. I especially liked the layout of the home and the large size of the rooms. We all appreciated the various outdoor sitting areas – We could enjoy a different one every day and still have some remaining . . . My husband called his favorite sitting area “Grandpa’s perch” (the one that looks out over the harbor), and our granddaughter loved her “dance palace” (the gazebo)! The landscaping is very lovely, and we spotted lots of deer roaming through the back yard, and the birds (& birdhouses) were so much fun! We would gladly choose this home again, and we appreciated the smooth administration of the property/paperwork."

Useless Bay Travel Tips

Useless Bay Lodging: More Useful Than It Sounds

Don't judge Useless Bay condos by their location's name--Puget Sound vacation rentals in Useless Bay can be very useful in saving money! Vacation rentals have many advantages over the typical hotel; fully furnished and often equipped with better amenities than a hotel, they are less like a place you're renting and more like your ready-made home away from home. And not only are they often larger and more welcoming than a cold, premade hotel room, but Useless Bay condos can save you considerable amounts of money in rates as well.

Golf and Coffee: Fuel For Your Backswing

Useless Bay lodging places you about half an hour away from the Useless Bay Coffee Company--a popular venue said to deliver delicious mochas and other drinks promptly and courteously. The Useless Bay Coffee Company is usually packed on Sundays, which is another sign that it serves drinks good enough to come back for again and again. Just ten minutes away from Useless Bay and conveniently on the route back from getting your coffee is the Useless Bay Golf and Country Club, where you can play outdoor tennis, swim in the pool, and of course, play golf on one of the Northwest's best golf courses. Be sure to apply online ahead of time, though--this country club is private and for members only.

Take to the Woods--Visit a State Park

For a less-exclusive setting, go for a hike on the Useless Bay Tidelands--miles of wild tidelands along Useless Bay rather than any actual trail. Your Useless Bay lodging will be close enough that you don't have to pick and choose between what to do during your stay--you can drive from one side of the island to the other so why not see everything?
