  • Perfect weekend away

"We had such a relaxing weekend staying in le studio. It was better than I expected: very clean, simple decor, super cosy, and a great view. Our two nights spent here with our 2 dogs was very relaxing. We enjoyed taking them to the dog beach, visiting a farmers market, and driving around to the different towns. It was the perfect place to head to in the afternoon and cook a meal... the weather was even nice enough that we were able to enjoy our dinner outside on the balcony as the sunset. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend away, this is the place! We will definitely be keeping Seascape in mind for the future!"

  • Weekend at Useless Bay, Whidbey Island

"This property is in a very quiet location within easy walking distance of the public beach. Its setting is very private and has views out of all the upstairs windows. The house has a great kitchen with beautiful cabinets, granite countertops and is tastefully decorated. The road in front of the house is level and is ideal for walking or bicycling. I was amazed at the variety of birds at this location. The house faces the bay on one side and a large wetland on the other. The two combined attract a variety of wildlife. We saw eagles, cranes, swallows, blue heron’s and ospreys just to name a few. The nearby public park is very large and right on Useless Bay/Double Bluff. The beach portion of the park just keeps going and going. From the beach I watched cruise ships steaming by headed for Alaska and floatplanes flying up and down the sound. In the very far distance on the horizon you could see the tips of the tall buildings of Seattle and watch freighters, tug boats and other marine traffic traveling to and from the city. Useless Bay is rather unique in that it has a very large sandy beach. It was named Useless, as it is to shallow for ships but this makes it ideal for beach walking. At low tide you can walk out a great distance over the sand. Most Washington State island beaches tend to have steep banks and the beach is usually covered with rocks so this place is a very special and a unique place on the sound. During our stay we took a drive around the Island and visited the historic towns of Coupeville and Langley. Both sit on bluffs above the water and have a mix of interesting architecture and number of quaint Victorian homes. The towns are filled with little shops and restaurants. The little town of Freeland is within a mile or so of the house. I ate at two good restaurants and there was a really nice grocery store and shopping center. I think I counted three antique stores, and at least that many espresso stands. For those who enjoy wine we saw many signs advertising wineries or wine shops. I definitely plan to return and spend more time exploring the beach and Island."

  • Wonderful combination of fine house and fine beach

"This house is one of those rare combinations - a beautiful house on a beautiful beach. Every amenity was provided in the house itself, one of the most well equipped kitchens we have ever been in, period. The rooms were all comfortable and graciously appointed. The art work was outstanding and added so much to our enjoyment of the house's spaces. The beach itself was a treasure. We were there with our own married children and our grand-children, who are 3 and 5, and they loved the ability at low tide to run out for miles, while at high tide the water was shallow enough for wading, swimming and safe boating. The fire-pit provided great eventing Smores conventions, and we also enjoyed the deck for kicking back, and the small lawn for kicking around a ball and water pistol fighting. Thank you for sharing such a gem of a vacation home. This home gets you to relax, no doubt about it."

  • Great house with everything you need.

"The place was exactly what we wanted. Six of us came up for seattle for a wedding in clinton, and stayed at the rental for the weekend. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, and lots of space for us to hang out in. One shower was a bit tight for 6 people all trying to get ready at the same time, but we managed. Ed and Meg were great in communication, and everything worked out seamlessly. The proximity to the bay was also very nice."
